My Nutribullet Pro 900 Series blender got some sugary liquid in the actuator switches which when dried gummed them up causing them to jam, seize, and generally be hard to actuate when pressing down on the blender cup. However, the base is pretty easy to disassemble and I'll show you how you can clean the affected parts to make it work like new again.

Followed everything. Easy to understand.Even removed the tiny springs and cleaned them and replaced them. the little white tabs move up and down perfectly. BUT not working!!!!! So frustrating..................! The lid engages and locks perfectly. but nothing....

There was a slight variation on my model, there was 4 screws inside rather than the 3. Cleaned up a cheap second hand one nicely. Thank you.

Thank you! I was able to fix mine. However, it was a broken standoff that caused the issue. I have to use a longer screw to hold down the contact switch base. I was able to fix it.

Works like new again, thanks. Be sure to push the wires down into the body and away from the fan. This part was a bit tricky.

When you have the white actuator are out and cleaned, before you re-install put a small amount of Vaseline on the face of the actuator so if you have a spillage again it will not stick! This works.

thanks it made cleaning it a breeze. Just trucky getting bottom in have to bend plastic so it goes in. mine was a mess. sticky goo.I added silicone lube to springs and plastic parts to insure easy sliding.

hello i follow all the steps not because they need the cleaning but hoping to see if i can make to work i have this as gift second hand but when i am trying the motor das not work at all so not sure if can be repair or is something else this motor was cleaner machine so i was hoping for the best no luck

Sorry to hear that. It's hard to diagnose from afar what's causing a non-running motor as it could be anything from a damaged power cord, faulty wiring, worn out trigger contacts, to a seized motor.

I was so ready to have a good as new nutribullet after watching this vid but for some inexplicable reason one nutribullet screw on the fan bracket and one covering the power cord guide is a square head and not a Phillips??? 😑 and I don’t have ANY square head screwdrivers. I’m stuck. 😢

I was gifted an old Nutribullet that was clearly neglected. It had visible stuff in it, pressing down was very hard. I have always been a fan of taking things apart and cleaning/fixing them. I got it almost torn down and couldn't figure out how to get the plastic shell from around the motor. I found you video and it held the answer. I've got to say that you did this video very well. You didn't add a lot of fluff to it, got to the point. You were clear and easy to understand. Great video!!

This is so helpful! Can you please do one on servicing the blade assembly as well? I have taken the blade off and sharpened it (you just turn the blade and rubber part clockwise to unscrew it) but I'm wondering about oiling the parts inside as I have seen black oily junk come out of it. I'm worried about opening it up in case I can't reassemble it! Thanks

Stuck screws can be a pain, but as long as they're not stripped there is hope for removal! My tips are to ensure that the screwdriver tip is sized correctly and fills the entire '+' groove of the screw. If it's wiggly/loose or doesn't seat all the way into the groove firmly, it is not the right size. Never use a screwdriver that is not the right tip size for the screw, as this can and will lead to stripping of the screwhead's groove. My second tip is to apply firm pressure onto the screw while turning. You may need to press really hard into it while turning counter-clockwise, as this will generate more torque. If all else fails, use a powered tool, but still apply tips 1 and 2, as power tools can damage screws more easily.

I am almost at the three screws where l can get through the activators but one screw is tightly over screwed that l cannot unscrew it even after spraying wd40. I was therefore unsuccessful.

I don’t ever remember the company saying in any manual or anything that this was something you could do! We’ve had ours for so many years and it’s had multiple spills. We’ve had the same lids the entire time, didn’t even know you were supposed to replace them! The inside of my Nutribullet is absolutely disgusting and the smell is awful. I think I need to disassemble it slightly further than you went though because it’s making an awful noise (which it why I went and searched how to disassemble it, why I didn’t think to do that any of the times I had a massive spill, who knows?!) I’m guessing the rotating parts just need more lubricant, like I said It is really old. I can’t afford a new one so wish me luck! You’d think they would design it so if a spill happened nothing could get inside the unit but oh well.

Phil great video. I’m almost there but have a question. Does the blade you put on as the cover when making a drink have a rubber gasket in it? I can’t figure out if I’m missing a piece or there never was one. I cleaned the whole machine as directed and almost have it put back. Wondering if I’m missing a piece and that’s why it leaked

I don’t know if you still need this info but he never responded to you so I will in case anyone else sees this and is looking for the answer. By fan blade are you referring to the blending blade on the cup lid? If so then Yes, that should have a rubber gasket and sometimes they can fail, so can the bearings (internal mechanism) of the blade if it overheats to much from not being maintained or rusts from getting water inside it. There are guides to disassemble the cup lids too, and if you disassemble them and clean and oil the internal parts to keep them turning without heating up you can get the lids to last 1-2 years or more as opposed to the company’s recommended replacement cycle of every 6 months or something. They charge a rediculous price for those things so it’s well worth it to keep them in good shape and get a long life out of them. Hope this helps anyone who has this question!
