Can the Nutri Ninja OR Nutribullet grind nuts into almond butter?
In this video, I put both of them to the test.
I tried to fill the cups up as evenly as possible with ROASTED and cooled almonds given they were two different sizes.
I tested it without oil, with oil it would probably be easier/different.
The Nutribullet Pro 900 did way better because it was able to create a vortex and pull the almonds towards the blades.
The Nutri Ninja Auto IQ struggled to form a vortex and kept pushing the nuts to the side of the cup.
Both did a good job at grinding nuts into powder.
Neither of these are ideal for almond butter WITHOUT ANY OIL, but you could probably get away with it in the Nutribullet if you REALLY wanted...
Instead - I'd recommend getting a refurbished Vitamix or Blendtec for the job. Neither are THAT much more expensive and have much longer warranties in case something goes wrong when you're doing hard and thick blends like this.

So keep in mind I did this test WITHOUT any oil. When you buy nut butter in the store, it doesn't have ADDED oil, so I figure why add it to the recipe. Want me to do a future video tested it with oil? It would probably work.

This is my second Magic bullet, and I have to admit that for the price it delivers really well ru-vid.comUgkxCKuMxLnvr6fJd_M4SE-n7trcGj3zEUHq Considering that there are other products twice and even four times more expensive, I think that for one person this is just right. The only problem is that you have to make sure that your vegetables and ice are cut into small pieces because it won't chop and blend well. I made the mistake of putting whole baby carrots with a cup of mixed greens, and it wasn't pretty.. Also be careful not to overfill it, because it will overflow. As long as you follow the manufacturer's instructions for use, you should be happy with this purchase.

I don't know why companies make blenders with only a blade at the bottom and don't instead make a spiral blade that extends almost to the top of the container. That seems to me like a big design flaw because food has to either be shaken or rearranged to reach the blade and be fully blended to a creamy consistency. I have a Magic Bullet and it does OK for liquids but not great on anything dry. Doing smaller amounts at a time and then scooping them out into the jar you're going to keep the butter in will work. It just takes a bit longer.

Stopped at 2:25 to comment. That Nutribullet spinning wildly and then catching is extremely hard on the motor and bearings and the blades! Then the fact that it really didn't do a very good job and needed constant adjustment! After also watching the Ninja, I am not impressed at all with either of these. I'm glad I watched this video. At least I now know what not to buy. Thanks

The problems with the bigger blenders though... you have to make a lot for the blades to make good contact, then digging the contents out without wasting half of what you made. I don't know which is more frustrating.

U can add water to the blender after making, it turns into nut milk.. Just a cup of water to a spoon of left over nut butter🙂
@wwaldok
@wwaldok 5 лет назад
The larger diameter canister can’t keep the powdery nut material within the path of the Ninja’s blade. Neither machine does that well as they are being used here. I would try adding slightly warm water (95 F) for processing; when completed, dump into an open wide mouth container (jar) and let the excess water evaporate out...stirring it several times daily until I achieved the ‘butter’ consistency I wanted. Be sure it doesn’t get rancid or contaminated, infested!

Yes! These definitely have their place but my Vitamix will liquefy nuts into butter in just a couple of minutes. It has a tool to push everything down when it goes to the sides. I roast pecans, add dates or date sugar and a pinch of Himalayan salt. Delicious! Roasted cashews with organic unsweetened coconut, salt also delicious 😋 Going to try walnuts with maple and cinnamon.

I have seen pistachio paste for ice cream being made, and he used a mini chopper/mini foodprocessor. There were no stirring, shaking, no nothing, it just made pistachio paste. It took a while, but the machine did it. So I guess a blender is not suitable for the task, it must be a mini chopper.
@BlenderKitchen

Pistachios are also a softer than almonds so that could be part of it. Some nuts are way easier to turn into nut butter :) But yeah - the big blades on the food processors are also an advantage if you don't have a tamper or Twister Jar on the Blendtec.

Why are not using the blend IQ function in ninja. Very very partial in reviewing 2 similar blenders with different functions.

If you'd put the Ninja onto pulse & just let it pulse, it'd have made Almond butter.You're just in favour of the bullet, so you weren't giving Ninja a chance. Ninja is hands down, MILES better than the bullet

The difference in potency whould be accounted for, I believe Nutri has around 600w of power while the Ninja has 1000w, but I think I'm still going for the Nutri, specially now that they have a new model the Pro 2.0 wich has 1000w potency, that should be more than enough :) Thanks for the great video

@@dvcj Didn't purchase the Pro 2.0, went for an even better option, the RX, which has 1700w of power!! it is amazing, and comes with 3 different cups, and was even cheaper than the Pro.

@@manolofight. I bought the nutri bullet 3 times and after 3 months it started leaking oil into the smoothies nasty black oil I guess one of the rubber seal wears out after a while and causes the problem, I was able to get a refund one time because I bought it at Costco the other 2 times it was tough luck for me because after 3 months you get nothing from Walmart, I'm pretty sure there's better blenders out there for under 200 dollars but if you want something that lasts forever the blendtec is an excellent option I had mine for 5 years and still works perfectly no signs of ever dying, vitamix is also a good option but very expensive. And the ninja is also garbage after a few weeks it wasn't performing all that well, cheap gadgets both the nutri bullet and the Ninja blender.

My 600W Bullet of 5 years finally broke recently. Good timing for mother's day :). Hence I am now looking at both Bullet 900W and Ninja 1000W Auto IQ BL480. The Bullet 900W with 10 pieces packaging is only $99 and the Ninja 1000W Auto IQ BL480 is $139. Bullet is meant for making smoothies, convenient and small. If you want your Bullet to last longer you've got to follow instructions closely, it needs LTC :). However, the reason I am looking at Ninja is because it has more features, the auto and pulse and their cups are made of polycarbonate material. In addition Ninja is able to crash ice into snow. Ninja is heavier and a bit more bulky than Bullet. Ninja BL480 $139 is clearing this model as they have launched a newer generation and Bullet 900W for $99 is value for money. I already have a bulky Braun blender so which one should I get?

Ninja, with the auto IQ model you can use the pulse setting to make nut butter, you don't consistently blend like in this video hahaha, it can blend nuts and seeds, crush ice and frozen fruit and gives you a recipe book it also counts down so you know when it is done, I have one and it's amazing

Lol it's centrifugal force, man. The blades on the ninja go too fast at a sustained speed for the nuts to come into contact with them... should have used the pulse button to keep the blade speed under control.
