I think its good to note that wireless signals can't pass through water. Which is basically what your body is in this case. in an indoor space the signal will bounce around a bit. and you will still get signal. This is why the Line of sight is so important. 2.4 ghz is pretty susceptible to walls and obstructions but as long as you are in the same room you should be pretty safe. :) Nice Review Shane.

I live in an apartment building with no less than 25 wifi signals that come up on my macbook, the 2.4 ghz rode newsshooter has never had any interference at a close distance. I am sure the same will go for this unit too. Thanks for the review, a good back up system for me.

Hi, you didn't show how to use the included XLR to mini-plug adapter. I wonder if you had any luck with it. I didn't, connected to the receiver and then to a mini stereo outlet in the amp, no sound came out even at the highest volume, wonder why. Any ideas?

Hi, I appreciate your video, I am having a similar problem with the sennheiser xsw digital wireless system which had the same static and dropouts when busking outdoors in the city. Do you know of a good wireless system that would work better in an outdoors setting with less dropouts and stattick, something that more reliable or has the ability to switch frequencies when there is interfearance? I'd appreciate any help and advice you can give. Thank you!

You might want to retest your line of sight in an enclosed space. Outside on the beach the line of sight goes right to the horizon. In an enclosed space within 100 ft you might be o.k. It should behave just like a bluetooth on a cell phone. Thanks for the interview!

This is a fine video. BUT, what I want to know is what is the band width? Even though it works at a distance, there is still a delay. The further you go, the more the delay. More band width or POWER will solve it, but then your FCC license comes into jeopardy. So, nothing like a chord, but hertz is one thing, but band width is everything.

The hundred decibels of a guitar amp is sound level. This unit is referring to dynamic range which is a different thing entirely. Loss of signal when facing away is only meaningful near the end of the range. The human body will attenuate ref at 10 db or more. I couldn’t find any specific research on this type of device, but there is obviously some signal loss. Wireless range measurement is very complex, and is stated only as a guide. In live situations, anything between will have an effect, especially metal, concrete, or electronic noise, such as motors or computers. With so much of life running on 2.4ghz, I’m suspicious of using these for anything critical. I lean toward 700-900 mhz, or 5.8ghz. I also agree with recommendations of having alternatives. If it’s critical, always have a backup, whether for equipment failure, accident, interference, or even extra run time. When the battery goes dead in your 800mhz system, having a 2.4ghz is a lifesaver, whether for guitar, microphone, or camera.

Not a bad product would be better if supported phantom power for microphone & receiver if could be recharged or powered with phantom power from a sound desk which would have made this product awesome, Its just not quite there, Anyway thanks for your review
