Seemed like some slight signal degradation and phase shifting occurring once you got to 100 ft, nonethess, it was outstanding until then. Very impressive, esp. since most of us would never need to go near that far from our amps. Very good demo vid. Now, to check.out the price and see if it seems worthy of purchasing, if I ever go out playing live again. Thanks, Scott.
I heard that too. Some of it could be the iPhone mic as this was done quickly on a Sunday afternoon. Nevertheless I was pretty impressed. Not that I’ll ever be 100ft away from my rig but it’s nice to know that the C-5RC will reach. 😉
I have had the NUX for about 2 years. You can buy cheaper but others either do not sound as good are unreliable or simply tank after a few months. The fancy case with the charger case and is stupid. It makes sense to use it to protect the unit but leaving it plugged in and recharging between the sets with an adapter plugged into the AC is a nobrainer insurance policy you do not want to rely on a recharge device. Plugging in a plastic egg shaped transmitter in many guitars is awkward, in the way, and on a few guitars not going to happen. I bought a AH- military grade/ pouch/flip phone belt clip holder. $15. You leave the phone folded, pop on a female to female quarter inch adapter and the attach a pedal patch cord. You can then clip it to your guitar strap out of the way. Best of all it looks exactly like you own a high end unit that comes this way. The unit is prone to occasional interference just like the best cell phone. In short there are places where you either can not use it or places in clubs that are no go zones. It is however unusual maybe one in 30 places. The only thing I do not like is none of these cheaper units have access to the battery outside of breaking the casing. The battery is NOT meant to get at. One day the battery will die and your unit will be junk. I would never be without one. I am in a 3 piece and the small clubs we play nothing has a mic but my voice. I can get the backline sounding balanced and level from the middle of the room. Even if I had a sound guy I would still want to hear the band from where the audience does. Sennheiser 's latest one performs and out specs them all weather cheaper or super expensive. It is however double the price. Mind you 3 times the bucks will not get you better reliability or sound than the Sennheiser.
So can you plug this into the end of your pedalboard going out of the amp instead of a normal guitar cable that you would plug from the last pedal into the guitar?
