Here's a quick test using the NUX Cerberus combine with the NUX Solid Studio power amp sim. In this video, I used the Cerberus build in "1960" cab sim.
To me, it doesn't sound very different from your original tone, but it does make the players feel better. Easier to play. More sustain for sure !

Been using Cerberus for a while with my Fender Mexican Strat SSS and sounds amazing tbh but unfortunately I've to use NOISEGATE and EQ with it. Wish they somehow added built in noisegate and a EQ section lol but watching your review, planning to get Solid Studio it sounds really great. Are you somehow using any IR or the default one as I see you are not using cab section from the Solid Studio. Would love to have your answer!! Great review indeed. Cheers!!

Yes, you can do it. Just placed the radar in the last position. Use the output without cab sim on the Cerberus to the radar. Then you can use both output to mix it up for your tone.

What ORDER are you Running them in? Cerebus into the SOLID STATE? Then Interface or Powered Cab ..?

I have a nux nss-5 andò Franklin speaking this pedal is very useful.... It is a Power AMP simulator, so the gain control does not krank nothing....you will need an external preamp to drive this pedal....meaning other money and another pedal on the board....than the cabinet section can work, but you will need an frfr cabinet to ear and use in a proper way.....other similar pedal requires less effort to be used.....i'm not happy with this...do Simeone have some tips how to use nux nss5???????

Hello Jimmy I was wondering if you could do a demo with guitar pedals plugged into the Cerberus?? I'm trying to save up money so I can buy Cerberus I'd love to get my hands on one although I have a feeling you have something else in the works?!

If you are talking about the solid studio then yes, ir's sound way better than the built in cab emulation of the pod HD

The Cerberus's output 2 has the cab sim. If you pare with the SS pedal, use the output on the Solid Studio.

I'm also very curious why you didn't just use the Solid Studio's cab sims. Seems like that would make more since. Are you gonna make another video to show this aspect? inquiring ears wanna hear! ;-)

I just wanted to show the power amp sim part of the pedal. Also if you use it this way, you can combine two IR sounds, and blend in the right balance of these two.

Hello Jimmy, thank you for the video I was curious I own the solid studio and was interested in purchasing the Cerberus as well and have the similar setup. Can you please exactly how you would route the solid Studio through the Cerberus cable connection and all what you were doing exactly the more specific the better thank you so much and keep making those great products

With the Cerberus and the Solid Studio, You can have lots of options. The way I like to do it is using the first output of the Cerberus (no cab sim), run though the Solid Studio. The second output using the build in cab sim of the Cerberus. This way not only you have two different cab sim at the same time, but also you could blend in the right amount of the two tones to get your perfect sound. Hope that helps. Thanks for your support. @@jimmyrocks43 .. so the affect section is not bypass using this method ..? You can run the effects through both out the one having the solid Studio prior to it? that's a great idea for running stereo and being able to blend two different cab simulators

The first output of the Cerberus will always bypass the build in cab sim. The second one you can choose to turn it on or off. So it is definitely a good idea to run it stereo. The effect section will be still available using this method.

I have the Cerberus, been using a couple of different preamp-style pedals. Thinking of getting the Solid Studio to add to my DI board, along with the Cerberus. Question: does the SS have to go last in the chain or could it work in the "loop"? ie: Guitar>Stompboxes>Cerberus In>Drive/Distortion>Output>Solid Studio>Input>Mod>Delay/Reverb>Cerberus Out>Mixer>PA/Interface.

To my ears the power amp sim added girth, low end, and some limiting / sustain. Kinda what you'd get from a slightly driven amp's power section.

Cabinet should come after the poweamp so why use the cab sim on the cerberus...i hear some phasing issues

Yeah, you are right. I shouldn't put the solid studio in the effect loop. I just don't want to effect my chorus and delay tone. Also I really enjoy the cab sim sound of the Cerberus. That's why I did it this way. There is a phase problem for sure. Thanks for pointing out.

@@jimmyrocks43 This might sounds odd question but I wonder what the sound going to be like if you reverse the signal chain to : Guitar -> Solid Studio -> Cerberus. Do you think keeping the Cerberus’ cab sim ON still produce better tone than using Studio’ cab sim ?

You should turn off the Cerberus cab when you turn on the Solid Studio. Otherwise, you are stacking two cab sims, not comparing them.

Also, when using the cab sim from the Cerberus and the Power Amp from the Solid Studio, the signal chain is Cab->Amp when it'd be better the opposite.

The IR side of the SS is off all through the video. He is just testing out the power amp sim.

He has the SS in the loop. Power amp sim is before the mods/delays+verbs and the IR. So, in short, he is running amp>cab.
