@@barstia7847 I don't know if I would sell my sd1 it sounds smoother and creamier somehow I'm not sure how to describe it but sounds like you found your overdrive!
Great Demo/Review/Playing! I really like how you have the pedal in focus and your playing is just out of focus, but easy to see what you’re doing-Thanks for posting…
This is the best example of how well this pedal works in a band mix I've seen. It sounds exactly as good as this demo made it sound, and he didn't even hit some of the upper gain (around 2 o'clock is a real sweet spot) into a barely-dirty tube amp. It really shines there because the Gain is really a mix knob from dry to wet as well, so you still get transparency but more of the pedal's color. First time I played this pedal into a Blues Jr., I couldn't stop playing. It just makes a tube amp shine in a way that guitar should sound, more than any pedal in 40 years of playing.
I use this as a clean boost last in chain with gain to 0 or 10% on the brown mode, if you set an actual clean boost or slight overdrive in front of it to push it with solo's it is gold. If you use this as a clean boost you get some natural compression and sustain without overdrive/distortion (or if you play real hard a slight crunch). If you kick in the pedal in front of it you get all the tone qualities of this pedal which keeps your tone consistent. If you want that classic lynyrd skynyrd rock sound *(5:00 mark in this vid, which I don't want) you can push the gain and it works well. You don't need expensive pedals! Buy a good amp with a good clean or good slight crunch and your gtg.
Guys n Dolls: Alixpress has a bargaindeal: about 50 €s: I bought 3!!! Ive played many pedals, and this stays wth me forev: Juust brings life , a bit of fat to each string, touch dynamics is veryverygood, note separation verygoog as well!!! MOORE than little extra to my tone, feels like a touch..., well: it shure makes me wanna play more, more thinkingly, and so good!!!
@@MartinFrydas hi, sorry for not making it clear.. I mean ,what do you think about the Nux's horseman pedal vs Nux's steel singer? I am thinking of buying one of them..because I may need a pedal that makes my lead tone fatter. Thanks
Ah, ok! For this case I’d definitely go Horseman... it’s designed to make/push sounds fatter ;) Steel singer is (for me) also creamy & fat sounding - but on its own - meaning the SS is the main Drive sound and you push it with other pedals. But you can push almost every drive sound with the horseman.. you know what I mean?😉
Would this pedal work,in any way, with my Nux 300 mg? Wanted Nux to at least put their guitar stinger pedal in a 300 mg update but they went with pointless Bass amps.👍
