Join us for a Livestream Event where I'll take you through a tour of the brand new NUX Trident Guitar Processor. This is an exciting new product we debuted at NAMM 2023 and in this livestream, you'll learn everything possible about it.
This thing looks great. Simple setups. Not too many fx or amps to choose from. Just a good selection of quality amps and fx. Sounds really great too. Well thought out product. Right up my alley. Editor looks great.
Another question, I watched your whole video and it was great, when you built a preset it looked like you saved it to an already stock preset and wrote over it, are there empty slots to save new presets in so you don't erase the ones that come with the unit, also how do you move your saved presets around to say bank 92a or bank 92c? Thanks Pedal Guy
Thanks for this great video! I think it would be great to have a video comparing the sound and the functionality of the Trident versus the MG-30. That would be really cool! You could explain which would be better in which scenarios (live, recording,…). Thanks a lot!
I had a Steinberger SPIRIT LEFTY, Black. - I really Loved it. Hope to have another One Day. I have the Cerberus Unit, but I'm interested in this. Thanks!!!
Nux trident is it possible to separate the effects in the left and right channels? as? for example the echo in the left channel and the reverberation in the right channel?
I don't know if you talk about it later, on this video... ? But, If Not would you discuss, show Diagrams of the 3 Modes of Cabling... ? Series, Parallel and Branch, and various Amp Configs... ? Wet-Dry-Wet... ? Thanks, this very well put together
This unit doesn’t save the changes I make I set the reverb and the delay for a patch and then save it. Go back to turn it on it sounds like the Manuel knobs on the board. Please help how do you turn off the Tap Tempo for the delay ? It’s driving me crazy
Hey Pedal Guy, Perhaps the next iteration could be Trident II. It could be a combination of all the best features of the current Trident plus the best features of the MG-30. So, it would be the Trident, but with an expression pedal, all of the amps and effects of the MG- 1:37:01 30, but this time in 4K instead of 2K. It would, of course, have bass amps and acoustic amps, and of course it would have all of the best connectivity between the two units. And best of all, it wouldn’t cost a lot more than the current Trident! This could be a huge destroyer of the new Boss ME-90! I look forward to it! Thanks, Greg
Thanks for live stream, quality of both video and audio excellent! Didn't see most of it live here in the UK, so have some follow-up questions (also after looking through the manual): 1) Is the instrument input mono or stereo? 2) Is the Send/Return loop mono or stereo? 3) Manual claims 96 factory AND 96 user presets, a total of 192 presets. Is this correct, and if so, can the factory presets be overwritten (i.e. used as additional user presets)? 4) Manual states phrase looper is 60 seconds, rather than 30 seconds. Is this correct, or is the looper stereo with 30 seconds being the maximum length of a stereo loop? 5) Does the Trident provide 'gapless' switching and/or effects trails when switching between presets? Thanks!
Thanks for watching. 1. Mono input 2. I believe the send/return is mono. 3. I believe you can’t write over the factory presets but I will need to double check 4. The effect trails do spillover between presets. 5. Looper. Will need to double check that too
1:03:18. No Custom IRs from Choptones in the Trident I have. Just saying. Got my own IR's. You can actually export the ones in the presets and reload them in the custom IR's to use in other presets. Bit of a workaround, though...
Tonewood absolutely matters, even with extreme metal high gain, as does your fingers to your speakers and everything in between. It's less noticeable with tons of distortion but it is there when your ear is tuned to it...especially when it's causing problems in a mix. Another metal super hi gain amp or two would be nice, alternatives to the Uber. Two bad there's a pause when switching A/B/C "channels".
Will additional FX (specifically delays & reverbs) be added in future updates potentially? Or is that unlikely given that there's only three listed on the front panel of the unit?
Would have liked to hear the “plexi” models “ edge of break up” sound as that’s an iconic rock sound but all the demos just show the heavily distorted sounds. Can the plexi models do an authentic light break up sound?
@ThePedalGuy - You said "you really don't have to work that hard to get good sound, that's the best thing about this" Man, I'm not bonding with the PodGo for that very reason. Even when I purchase professional presets, I still have trouble tweaking them to get close. I'm super intrigued with the Trident! Two Questions: 1. Are those stock FACTORY Presets you're playing at about 28 - 40:00? If so, WOW! 2. I don't think the Trident has drop tune, correct? Any chance of getting it in an update? None of these lower priced modelers has a good drop tune. If NUX would just make a GOOD drop tune for the Trident that just goes down 1 Step, they would rule this class of amps. A decent drop tune pedal is over $200 USD. Thanks for all you do Pedal Guy! Liked and subscribed.
@@ThePedalGuy Can you push this idea into software updates please? I am a buyer if that would happen! I play acoustic and electric guitar in our church and currently own the Acoustic Stageman pedal and a Tech 21 Sansamp for the electric guitar. Having both in one box would make it clean and easy!
