LOL I remember many years ago seeing that mini multieffects on a shop and thinking to myself..looks cute and the little screen looks cool but.this thing cant sound good. I had the Boss GS-10 which is a desktop version of the GT-6....hated its COSM sound. Ended up recently buying the NUX MG-400 which has exactly the same little screen and gui.
I thought the same... the Boss multi-fx stuff was some of the best at the time but just like you, I always felt it sounded really digital and uninspiring. I can't believe how great the little boxes are now. Enjoy the NUX MG 400!
Recently, I got one gifted from one of my buddies, didn't expect much from it and sounded choppy till i realised i had a modeling amp(nux 100) pluged to another modeling (fender mustang ltd25). Long story short, it sounds amazing in headphones 10/10
Yes you can plug headphones directly into the output on the unit. For the best experience, the 'Mixer' button needs to be pressed to enter the mixer mode. Hope that helps.
Click 'Edit', navigate to 'Amp'. It should default to the Amp setting. If it doesn't, press the module buttons left or right to get there. When on 'Amp', press the 'Module' button once right for the cab sims. If you turn the 'Select' knob left, you have the option for 'Direct Out'. If you press the 'Module' button once left and then turn the 'Select' knob left, you can also just switch the 'Amp Off' completely.
hello sir. i want to buy an eight string and an effects pedal. i was hoping i can use this module as an octave so i don't have to physically tune down my guitar. i'd like to go as low as double drop B or A. can you please guide me?
I own a pod hd 500. After having a pod X3 live. I currently use this Nux mg 100 in a cover band and sometimes my own gigs and the sound is pretty good :)
I don't think so, I believe you would need to get some kind of audio interface for your phone. E.g. Joyo Momix Cab or TC Helicon - I've not tried these yet, but it's on my list to do as it would be very convenient. Good luck and keep rockin'
