No one else is doing this kind of deep dive into the really useful stuff in such an understandable way. Most "walkthrough" videos are guys or gals just going through factory presets while shredding. That is nice and all, but I really learn something from you. Keep up the good work!
Very simple explanation on how to set the MG-30's footswitch up. Now I'm going to have a play with it. Love your videos so far. As other's have said, the easy to follow detail you go into these reviews and tips is on another level. Keep up the great content!
So nice to get a clear informed ‘how to’ tutorial when most other presenters have their foot firmly down on a tube screamer while cycling through all the presets
Thank you for this video! Your explanations and knowledge is second to none and I'm just getting to know my NUX MG 30 so this is helping a TON!!! Cheers and Happy New Year!
Straight forward and to the point. I just bought one of these units and your videos have been the most helpful. P. S. The audio levels are a bit low and they dip at important moments sometimes. Not a criticism, just a note.
thanks ... finally I know the function. it's just that I have 2 digital effects pedals of different brands. and I will still use it, because these 2 effects have a sound character that I like. I think the tool is for setting the use of 2 different digital effects.
that's a very good explained, deatailed video! may I ask two questions although concerning the looper? 1. is it possible to save on the MG30 several loops (in oder to fire up different song parts)? 2. if yes, would it be possible to dial into these several parts via the separate pedal? thanks for your thoughts, greetings from wolf
Hi friend, a question, ¿can I configure the NMP-2 to be able to control the CTRL function of the NUX MG30? Or what other wired footswitch would work for that? thank you
Hi. I am actually taking pre-orders now as I expect to see my inventory arrive in early August. I only have a limited amount but you’re welcome to pre-order a unit
Great video. I would like to ask if it is possible to assign the presets to the onboard footswitches and the NMP2, so that I can switch between different sounds during livegigs?
Can we use the NMP-2 footswitch to change the preset? Like from 1A, if we press the B switch on NMP-2, it change to 1B, and from 1B we press the footswitch on the MG-30 and it change to 1C and so on? Thank you in advance
Great Video and overview....My question is, will it also work with my Digitech Trio+ Band in a Box Foot Pedal to help go through my sequences or parts etc?
I've noticed most reverbs have "decay" as the first parameter, and if you want to setup the reverb freeze, and have this parameter quite high, then the freeze function will increase the level of the freeze to an unusable level. Right now, in the section where you setup the footswitches, there is no parameter to the freeze function. Can they make a change to the firmware so that we can set a level for the reverb freeze?
Thanks so much. Do you also have a video that shows how to use the mg30 in a live environment where you use one of the foot switches to toggle between presets? Thanks!
Hi Pedal Guy - love your work. I have a question: Can you move the Volume/expression pedal (not the Wah) to a position in the pedal chain before the delay and reverb so that you don't kill the delay/reverb tail when you back off the volume pedal? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
One more thing. Thanks for the detailed video. I was wondering if it would be possible to assign NMP-2 with A and B to bank up and down and the footswitches on the pedal from left to right assigned to change patches, ie, 1A, 1B, 1C, and 1D (double press control switch). So when I press B, then 2A, 2B, 2C, and 2D are available, and so on. This would be much better for a live situation.
Hi, can you make a video about mono and another output that nux mg30 has. As in how to connect it to a mixer board and how should we proceed with it live? Can we use it to pan two signals of guitar left and right? A video about connection
Sir can you make a video about mono and another output that nux mg30 has. As in how to connect it to a mixer board and how should we proceed with it live? Can we use it to pan two signals of guitar left and right?
Another great video, thanks! I'm new to the amp and effects world so forgive me if I make no sense. With the Send-Return I/O, would you be able to connect the external expression pedal and keep all its functions without having to set it up through the EXP input? Would this allow you to keep the NMP2 and the additional expression pedal? Thanks again for all your useful content, I'm sure you're saving more than a thousand lives here.
Very informative video! I have a question: How do i assign the expression pedal to be a whammy/ poly pitch pedal, and set the minimum to +0 and and the maximum to +12? Thanks a lot
Great video, thanks for sharing. Can you use the extra foot switch to control the looper? Could you program one button to stop and one to record etc....?
Thanks for the video..seems like a cool pedal. What I don't understand is why the provided cable is so short. I'd want mine to be capable of being placed on any side of the MG30 so I don't have to perform foot acrobatics to reach over the MG30 while performing live..am I missing something?
@@ThePedalGuy That's a shame, but ordered it for home use anyway, your videos helped me decide. Hopefully I will get some good tones out of it. Keep up the good work :)
Hello! I bought the nux mg 30 because I watched your videos and made the decision and it is worth it, however I have a problem, the NMP-2 only works with one switch, I don't know why! It depends on where I connect the cable. Please help!
@@ThePedalGuy brand new, I bought it at my local music store, it is actually a pretty big one and I’ve always bought anything from there so idk why it wasn’t included
What a useful video - it just so happens I have a NuX MG 30 on it's way to me and by strange coincidence the same Hotone foot pedal you demonstrated, but I have a question: the Hotone foot pedal (or the version of it I've bought) is a three-way pedal - with an expression function, a volume function, and a wah function, all in the one foot pedal, the functions being switchable on the pedal... so... if I connect that pedal to the MG 30 and assign it to a particular function within the MG 30 (say, as a volume controller) will it only work as a volume controller within the MG 30, regardless of how the pedal itself is switched, or will it still be switchable to its own other functions such as wah? Thanks for the great content. I previously watched your video about 'scenes' which I hadn't even realised was a function in the unit. Other demonstrators have eluded to switching to a 'lead' or a 'crunch' version of a basic tone by hitting CTRL but haven't intimated how those variations got there. So that video was immensely helpful. You are the blble for learning to use the unit. Thank You.
Hi pedal guy! I’m using my mg30 on the desk. But when i want to use looper it’s hard to control with my hands. Can i use the footswitch for this and how? Thanks for answer
Hey...thanks for the video. I'm trying to send PC messages to the MG-30 with no success so far. Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong if you see this post? Thanks man.
Hi, I wanted to know if the NMP2 can be used to select the scenes as well. What I mean is the onboard CTRL button controls one scene the two buttons can select the others.
Can you assign the exp pedal A and B to different scenes? Example A assigned to Scene 1 and B assigned to Scene 2 and the CRTL switch assigned to scene 3.
Very good review, I have a question, the MG 30 comes with a dual footswitch, if instead of that I use a footswitch with more buttons? to use the NUX in stompbox mode or would the NUX not recognize more than 2 footswitches? My decision to buy it depends a lot on this Thank you in advance!
Honestly not sure if you can do that or not. I would check with NuX on this. Which footswitch were you thinking about? The only one I know that has more switches is the Digitech FS3X.
Is there any way to get the NMP Footswitch to control the Looper / Drum Machine? (I like the idea of leaving the MG 30 on my desk to quickly tweak stuff and use the foot switch for the looper which I heavily use)
hello there, I wan to ask. The A and B switch is functioning with stereo cable?.. I recently lost my stereo cables and use the mono cables. the A switch cannot be used or mine broken? :(
Hello, please Is there any way to use the footswitch to change channels on the amplifier that the MG 30 is connected to and at the same time trigger a change in the MG like from one scene to another?
Do we need to power the Hotone soul press with 9v to work as an secondary expression pedal for any multi effects processor which has expression pedal out??
If someone want to add the foot switch with this processor, is it need to add a extra adapter for use the footswitch or can use with the same adapter which is using in the processor?
@@ThePedalGuy I mean if I add the Nux NMP2 dual Footswitch with the Nux MG30 processor/ Boss GT-1 as extra control switch then I need extra power supply for the NMP 2 or not ?
Hello. I have two questions about Nux MG-30 product. Can I use an external wah pedal simultaneously with NMP-2 Switch? Can I use NMP-2 switch as a continuous part of the Nux MG-30 for using like a patch mode? For example, 1. and 2. patch will come from Nux, 3. and 4. patch will come from NMP-2 switch. So I can have 4 patches on board like 1-2-3-4. Best regards.
Is it just me or does my ring not do anything? I have it plugged the same way yours is and it’s set to delay and reverb the same as yours but the delay doesn’t turn on or off with the ring
Hi I am having problem with the exp1. When i plug in the NM2 and uses a tip/ring cable it does not respond., I have checked the cable and the NM2 but it will not work as it should giving me Stomfunctions? Have you any thought aboput what to do? Best Regards Björn Stockholm
Hi! I am having some hard time using the NMP-2 with Cerberus. My idea is to have one of the switches to control de modulation part, but even when I leave the effect off on NMP-2 (After setting up on software of course) and hit Modulation switch to activate the chorus, the modulation on the right comes along and then I have to turn it off on the NMP-2. That is annoying. Is there a way to set it up completely individually? thanks
