We know that the NUX MG-30 is chock-full of really nice sounds but using scenes will make your life so much easier. If you are not already using scenes you need to watch this video.

Very useful information when i get round to buying one. You need to write an ATG user guide for the MG-30 and sell it with your merchandise. A lot of features on these units are often hidden in a sub menu that is hard to find, and only get a brief mention in the instructions. Thanks for this one Tony.🙂

@@addictedtogear its a complete joke - the frustrating thing for me is that they changed it a lot so all the videos that were made are for the old version - no good to me . i am figuring it out though . its a great unit .

Thank you for the demo.Am about to buy one of these.If you save 3 scenes like you have here.Does it save them permanately? So you can have your 3 favourite sounds or do gou have to re apply these everytime you use it?

Thanks for the nice video. What is the difference between having the same patch next door with minor modifications and scenes? Will the former have some delay? Also, can I have a completely different set of effects/pedals in S2 and S3 of a patch, or is it just on/off of what's in S1?

Can you, for instance, leave the Reverb on in all three Scenes but change the wet/dry mix between Scenes, or does that need to remain constant?

I can’t create a patch in a blank spot, from scratch?” Am I right, or can one do so on this modeler? Again, thank you for any help you can provide. I can’t find much info on the internet.

Welcome aboard! Yes you can create a patch from scratch but it is easier to edit an existing one.

Great video. Which unit is your favorite- mg 30, mg 400, or the ampero? Does the mg 30 work well as a pedal board for 'real' amps if you shut off the internal amps and IRs?

The only thing i wish they had done was put the LED light a bit higher up on the chassis so you can see what color you are on

Can I use scenes to switch between two different drive with the same amp? It seems that when I change the drive in scene three and save, the drive in scene one is now the one in scene three.

I have 3 questions 1. When playing live if i have two completely different sounds a) overdriven 2) ambient . Two different patches entirely...how do I switch on fly 2. Does the trails of reverb delay stay when we switch the scenes ? 3. Is MG 30 good for ambient music ? What would you recommend aroudn that price range

1- The MG30 is a very good pedal. You can use 3 different sounds by pressing CTRL in the sound you have prepared. This happens pretty fast. Easy to use, very good for using on stage 2- No delay cuts 3- At home, on the street, on the stage, in the studio... You can use it anywhere. Mooer GE250, Mooer GE300, BOSS GT1, Headrush MX5

There a massive time delay when changing from rhythm to lead with your foot. Also the noise gate no good. And the distortions also no good. I had to put a external distortion pedal threw. I would not recommend this unit to anyone

I think you can only turn on and off...I'm using it more like a main switch on the pedalboard that you can turn different effects on and off. How I set for my clean patch: S1: Clean tone (external foot switch set modulation on and off, usually for chorus or phaser) S2: Add an low gain drive S3: Switch to mid gain solo tone with delay I use the new firmware feature that long press the comp button can turn it into EFX module instead of compression since I don't usually deal with compressions How I set for my crunch patch: Turn off S3 S1: a crunchy rhythm tone S2: a boosted solo tone w/ delay

Me having the same problm.. But I hopefully think there is some way to resolve it otherwise it would be impossible to use in a live gig situation😢

Hi, I'm not sure why you found a tricky. Were you trying to write the name via the unit or was the unit connected to your computer via USB when you tried this?

Hello, been looking for a solution but I couldn't really find one. Is it possible to use the expression footswitch that comes with the mg-30 to be used for switching scenes BUT only having scene 1 and 2 enabled. Disabling scene 3 only works for me when I assign scene switching to foot switch 4. Help.

What if you want to go through the scenes in a non-linear fashion? Let’s say the song called for scenes 1 - 2 - 3, but then you want to go back and for between 2 and 3 for a bit? Cycling past a scene while you’re in the middle of playing doesn’t sound very appealing, especially if that scene has any strong effects. It will suddenly blare out the wrong sound before you switch.
