Smart use of the thermal pad! I have the same enclosure. It's kinda annoying that they made the enclosure tool-free but you still need a screwdriver to mount the drive itself.
did not bother with the screw mount; the M.2 connector's upward spring pressure seemingly applied enough contact with heatsink to thoroughly warm it after a 5 min image backup transfer... Ergo, if hte heatsink is quite warm to the touch, heat transfer is quite adequate, IMO...
Can i first format the drive directly on Orico or it need to be formated before? Just plugged mine here with a Samsung Evo 970 Plus and nothing happened...
BS, i would only put the sticker on the other side, i have done the same with my M.2 SSD, and when i broke, the store give all my money back, so it will NOT void your warranty.
So, you just showed everyone that they should remove the factory installed heat spreader tape. That's just dumb. You are suppose to put the thermal pad ON TOP of the heat spreader tape. Not to mention, removing the tap voids the warranty.
