Going on a hike: For those that have kids, they are really good at being in the moment. They don't care so much about getting there, if they're allowed to explore. They're also really good at finding gifts. So, bring your kids on a hike! It will really help you connect and strengthen the bonds of the family.

My only two Bolis that I use are slightly different ideas. One is the vessel of my travel alter, and the other is one of my two canteen cups but this one is for a round nalgene bottle that I use as my coffee and tea cup. I figured depending on circumstances it was fine for me to have energy from my coffee cup to do some rituals and carry brewed coffee or spiced apple cider I would make right before ritual. So for my practice it might be easier to have smaller 2 or 3 bolis anyways. I thought of your ritual in the desert first time I used my canteen cup

The aspect of being the green tips instead of the blue tips truly brings a whole new level. But for me right now since I am a medic in a clinic/hospital the trigger is different, but same aspect. We get two commands and then we set up our triage area and everyone sets up the area. But yes, you do have a highly D&C aspect to the group ritual that I both like and get minor anxiety of due to too many Change of Command and all those military ceremonies. Just hope no one locks legs lol.

It's not just you, Boðvarr. An actual oath ring needs to be a circle in order to hold the energy properly. Oath rings are serious ritual tools. It serves a spiritual purpose. You can wear open bracelets for decoration or because they look cool. But an oath ring, and especially a Goði's oath ring, needs to be a complete circle. Preferably copper or silver so it conducts energy. If anyone thinks that makes me a snob, I don't care.
