The 2024 NASCAR season is in full swing, as Christopher Bell wins the rain-shortened Coke 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Meanwhile, Kyle Larson misses the Coke 600 entirely after weather impacted his plans to run both the Indy 500 and the Coke 600 in the Hendrick 1100 double. Now the question that remains is will NASCAR give him a playoff waiver, as technically, he is now ineligible for the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs. In addition, we begin to say goodbye to a NASCAR powerhouse, as Stewart-Haas Racing announced this week that they will cease their NASCAR operations after the 2024 season. Get our reactions, along with our special guest this week, Jeff Favignano, who will also talk some discussions from the NASCAR gaming side of the sport.

I think they did the “start all races” clause was to prevent a one off Daytona/Talladega winner that only ran those races from being eligible. Modifying the rule to say “must start a minimum of 95% of races in a season rounded down” EIRI would suffice to clarify the rule

With the waiver system yes most of the waivers have been due to stuff out of a drivers control. Mostly medical stuff and Kurt's Busch's Domestic Abuse Accusations. But the big one that I think breaks all this is the fact that Chase Elliott(forget about the injury) got suspended for right hooking Denny Hamlin, breaking rules and got a waiver even though he didn't make the playoffs

Regardless of the waiver if you win a race you should be guaranteed to be in the playoffs.

Remember that when teams were limited to 4 characters roush was allowed to keep their 5th team until contracts ran out then Roush outed Jamie McMurray. So the grandfather in would only be until someone's contract runs out. Joe may make MTJ run out and retire or Denny could go over to his own team. He said he would want to retire at JGR but if the situation was right then he wasn't opposed to running for his own team. As for Hendrick I Don know Bowman doesn't deserve to be outed but compared to the other 3 it makes the most since. Could Dale essentially buy( or be given) the 4th Hendrick Charter to have a car for Bowman? I'm with Jarrett on the JRM in cup I'll believe it when it's 100% happening but that makes sense.

Just like the Hail Melon race Bell wins but a Chevy driver doing something cooler. Larson should get a waiver in my opinion I refuse to give the playoffs any credence but he's already in its dumb to me to take him out since he did still TRIED to run the 600 but I feel like Fox kinda screwed him.
