My mother kept everyone fighting for their lives, freedom, and future. As. nyan Nyankols i want nothing more then to keep fighting. Because at the end of the day we all want love to shine through and make a way, even at our worst. Thank you to my uncle Arkangelo Muorater Mashar, Uncle Peter(Mabil) Deng Chuang, my father(ex President of the Sudanese community of Alberta2002) Dominice Deng Garang, and all who helped in the process of making this Album and helping further my Mama. And especially thanks to you who uploaded the album to youtube. I hope you all stay blessed and even hope we to meet people who love my momma and who share the love. Thanks xoxoxo Adut
@Adut Garang Just learning from your comment that late panan Mother Nyankoldit was your mother. It is good to finally know one of her children. Your mother's music have helped so many people during the most challenging times fighting for the liberation. Her music were full of wisdom, love, hope and commitment. You are very welcome. I upload whatever that relevant for the audiences to have access to them. I appreciated your words and love. cheers.
Mother of South Sudan. Her songs are so inspiring, they elaborate the lives of junubin especially dinka community culture and the outside communities. There were a lot of foreshadows in her songs which we are experiencing now
Exactly dear brother, I wish she can speak to our current artists in spirit. Our nation need prayers and artists to remind us our dark days during struggle. We need to love, unite and stay in harmony among ourselves as a nation.
Nyankol Mathiang was a great singer. She even predicted South Sudan current predicament. In the third song in this song, she says and I loosely translate, "The country you are mishandling will be hard to manage or handle in the future". ...This was just a loose translation. Nyankol goes deeper than that. My people, what makes a country? People. What makes a good country? People who are free to work the land. What makes a good and happy country? Freedom to work and access to healthcare and hospitals. South Sudan, no one is expecting you to be a good happy country but South Sudanese expect at least some sense of peace. Nyankol Mathiang has been a great activist through her music. I don't even know if she is still alive or gone like most loveable South Sudanese. My people, If you understand Dinka, I urge you to listen to this song repeatedly. Listen to your heart and never let anyone tell you what to do, especially if you doubt their trust.
Nyankol Mathiang was one of strong activists during those dark days because her music were so spiritual and full of wisdom. She was also political singer as evident throughout her music. By the way, she is no longer with us now. But she will always live through her songs for all generations to hear who she really was. Thanks for your insightful information and concern of current state of RSS.
just listening to songs just doesn't change things going on either does analyzing. Recommend it to specific people maybe it might touch their hearts and make a change. Again the problem is not with S.Sudanese civilians, if only people could understand.
I loved this music , and this is the first time I hear it , if you could please provide more translation specially for the first song , this music is just as the same as music in north sudan and south of egypt
Everytime i listen to this album....i learn something new, it feels like i'm listening to it for the very first time. And emotions,,, forever love her and this music🥺❤❤

Thanks for uploading this legendary and heroic music. Being far from home, it’s easy to lose perspective, yourself but this collection always serves as a good remainder of where I came from...how tough I am intrinsically
I ❤️ all of her music going back to the cassette days before RU-vid since I was a child and still do to this day. Her voice is so soothing 😌 that I play her music every night to help me fall asleep. She was truly a legend and the mother of South Sudan period. We will always miss her but she is up there looking down upon us 🙏 🤲 🕍 🕌
One day as I was in the same mission she was assigned in, when SPLA soldiers disengaged from Heglig. Mama Nyankol and the rest of the national musicians were called to entertain and boost their morale. I was in the accommodation with her. One day she came to realize that I was called Mengistu as his son. She brought me closer to her. And she told me alot of things that I’m facing today in real life. Mama Nyankol was a great mother and a freedom fighter through her music.
Thank you for such information. Mama Nyankol had accomplished so much especially during liberations and during referendums. She had played marvellous role uplifting south Sudanese to be united , resilient and work toward betterment of ourselves as junubiin. She will continued to live through her songs. Her songs are full of wisdoms. Amen!
Sorry I did not know. I have been lost for over 16 years. It hurts when we lose good people. I cried very hard when John Garang died. Thanks for letting me know my friend.
