Besides, I don't think he's cut out for an automatic in the first place. He tends to twist his elbow to absorb the recoil. That's more of a revolver technique. But that was some fancy shooting.

Resident gun nerd and certified 'Murican here! For future reference: -Shotguns have a lot of varieties of ammo types. Most common is bird or buck shot that shoot a lot of smaller pellets at once. Bird shot is tiny, buck shot is bigger. Slugs are the singular big bullet you thought of before. Essentially, its a rifle bullet for a shotgun. And it hits like a fucking truck. -.50 BMG is _insanely_ powerful. So much so that its considered an anti material round, not anti personnel. As in they use those to take out light vehicles. Hitting a person with a .50 BMG round is almost a guaranteed kill just from sheer kinetic impact alone. That shot at 2:43 would eviscerate a real person and blow some of their ribs out of their back, along with most of their organs. Also, if you want to watch more people doing dumb shit with guns, GarandThumb and Kentucky Ballistics are good sources, as well as Brandon Herrerra and Demolition Ranch. Brandon Herrerra also might teach you a few things in the process... Or scar you for life with cursed as fuck gun builds. Both can be fun.

Something you might like, the Barrett .50 BMG can fire multiple different types of rounds; armor piercing, incendiary, high-explosive, armor piercing high-explosive (yes, that’s a thing), and a fragmentation round, meaning, like the shotgun, the round carries hundreds of small pellets that, upon impact, are released at supersonic speeds. So we can (and do) use it as a long range shot gun for anti-personnel purposes (it is normally used as an anti-material or to destroy lightly armored vehicles. The effect of the fragmentation round is devastating. Often, it can essentially obliterate the area around the point of impact, which, on a human, literally obliterates an entire portion of their body. The result often seen through the scope is the infamous “pink mist.” There are videos online of this happening, definitely would not recommend showing around an audience, however.
