Can totally relate, I grew up outside NYC and now we live in Austin. Love going back to visit NYC for the food and walkability, but I appreciate the vibe of Austin for everyday life. People are super friendly and happy here - my cortisol levels are so much lower 😂
I have a 6-year-old son and a 3 (almost 4) year old daughter... both nap, every. single. day. Mama needs a break. So, even if they don't sleep, they are required to go to their room and have quiet time for at least an hour. They almost always fall asleep though lol.
Being from Boston & now living in Dallas for a bit. I can totally relate to how different ppl act in the East Coast. It’s what made me fall in love with Dallas in the first place. People are so nice & polite. It’s easier to make friends & just more enjoyable. Maybe it’s the warmer climate lol
Yes I heard the same thing about Texas! It was Deff a shock to us in Florida how nice people are how neighbors stop by and help with things we were like what!!! People keep to themselves in NY
Love your vlogs girl. You have such a calming energy and it always feels uplifting to watch your channel. I do have to say though - as a hairstylist I had a hard time watching you brush your hair! 😂 brushing the ends aggressively like that creates tons of breakage and split ends. Also! A better boar bristle brush would be great to untangle knots for you and create less frizz + add shine ❤
Yah it’s way friendlier in FL because it’s called the south baby, southern hospitality! I’ve always been a southern gal. Went to Arkansas my whole life, tons of family there and lived there. But also here in Iowa, the Midwest, folks are super nice 😊 but yah NY seems neat to visit but that’s about it!! Haha. Rude folks. Whacko ppl in charge, too busy and cold and yah. But upstate is so beautiful. I’d feel unsafe walking out and about alone with kiddos unless I’m carrying haha.
In bigger cities where there are a lot of people, the mix of energies create stimulation that makes the place more interesting because of the variety, but variety also often creates conflict, just because of different energies being together in the same space. So Violet needing to nap there is because she’s reacting to that mix of energies - napping is an excellent way to come back into alignment with yourself! 😊 This also explains why people there may not be as openly nice, because most people take in the energies in their environments and react to them, allowing the environment to dictate their mood. But you, Sam, are a Deliberate Creator (Abraham-speak 😉💜) and if you really wanted to live in NY for the fun and excitement, you could, but you’d have to be more deliberate about setting your own energies every day and not letting the city’s influence you. But I’m not surprised that you’re less of a match to being there long-term, like you’re less drawn to wanting to live there, because you like being relaxed and going with the flow. You can flow in NY as well, but you’d have to be more intentionally focused cuz the energies move so fast, and that could be tiring. Hence, the naps! 😂 Love the fireplace picture on the TV 🔥
Love your vlogs! My daughter just turned 4, she’s pretty much done with naps. When she doesn’t nap she goes down for the night around 7-8pm When she naps she’s wide awake until 10pm! 😮
Hi Honey! Happy Fall! I am giving thanks, to all my beautiful, creative, joyful, and inspiring "Content creators"! We may have never met, but you have always brought me joy!
Same here 🙋🏻♀️ and my son turns 3 in December too 🎉 I love the nap time 😴 it’s a ME time for mommy lol A good 2 hours of sleep 👍🏻 so I can do my work, have some tea and hear the silence 😂
My 3 years old is taking only 45 min nap is it’s longer she’s not sleeping at night . Btw our daughter are like 10 days apart. Mine’s birthday is August 3.
My daughter is two and she is trying to give up naps but she still visibly needs them. So we are still deciding if she should give up nap and go to bed at 6:30 or take a later nap and stay with 8pm bedtime. I’m also pregnant so I really need the naps
