The outro was so funny 😂 People don’t know what happens behind the scenes! Morningside Heights is such an underrated neighborhood. Many people don’t know about St. John the Divine and their peacocks 🦚. I love to see them!
Yes seriously so true so much goes into just an outro loved laughing at it as I edited I was like yup just gotta keep it all in there! Thanks so much agreed so many cool things there and love the peacocks they’re so beautiful! It is an underrated neighborhood I completely agree! Thanks so much!
Who else lives in New York City but kept watching? Thank you for reminding me to visit St. John the Divine Cathedral. I completely forgot about it and I sure did not know any of the facts you mentioned:) Awesome video with great details!
The subway Museum looks awesome. I can't wait to go ! Seeing the vintage advertising in the cars will conjure many memories ! I imagine lots of 🚬 adds ! Thanks.
Love the transit museum. been there a bunch (I'm a member). I was "confirmed" at the cathedral many moons ago. Very impressive. The Cloisters is magical and so, so peaceful. I think my favorite lately is the Tenament Museum. A little crowded but there are timed tickets for the tours so not bad at all. Thanks for the video. It was superb. Cheers.
Yes love the retro vintage train cars! So amazing and every holiday season they have the nostalgia trains too it’s so cool arriving regular subway platforms!
loving the progress in your vids. gonna make it to NYC this Christmas :D ... also, can you make a video about restaurants, rooftops or any other activity for dating?
I visited The cloisters twice! So interesting. Also I stumbled upon one of the two waterfalls one day by chance walking close to where I work. A nice surprise.
Glad you left the outro in! 😁 I went to St John the Devine once, didn't notice the different images though! I'll have to go again! The Cloisters, that's one of my dream jobs! I suspect the no photography rule is because endless light flashes isn't good for 500+ year old fabrics and paintings!
Yes, you technically may take photographs but you may not use flash as you correctly say and you may not take video! That would be a dream job! I once worked inside a college archives that was pretty awesome!
That outro was so cute! lolol!! I've been binge-watching all your vids and I'm obsessed!! I can't believe I missed getting that iconic shot on July 12th! And to imagine I was in NY! Some of these hidden spots are a definite must-see for my next visit! Would any of the outdoorsy ones make sense during the winter?
Awww yay so glad you’re binge watching them appreciate it! I think the peacocks might not be outside during the winter but the rest should still be open! :) Also winter more videos coming soon!
Love the behind the scenes look at your video process. You're my favorite RU-vid star. Brett Conti and Sarah Funk come close but you have a special charm.
Hi Jennifer, I am planning on visiting NYC for the first time soon! I am from Ireland and was wondering where are the best Irish historical area's to see in NYC and is there any Irish American museums? Thanks
Great question, as an O’Brien I’m sorry I haven’t covered this more! Adding it to my list! I love the Irish hunger memorial and this list also seems super helpful: www.beaconhotel.com/blog/irish-guide-new-york-city/
Great video Jennifer! But may I suggest a lav mic and shotgun microphone with a wind screen for cleaner and higher quality audio. It will TOTALLY elevate the channel’s production value!... P.S. You are so pretty!!!
Thanks so much yes this video was shot on a shotgun mic with wind screen and I have the expensive sennheiser lav mic but it doesn’t always work well and changing frequencies means I rely on this shotgun mic more! But I should use the lav mic more thank you! Also I feel like my voiceover could be better quality, I tried to record it similarly with the same background noise but I could do it better! Appreciate your comment! Thanks so much!
8:58 oh my god. When I was a kid growing up in the Upper West Side I once got lost walking to the supermarket and ended up right by that statue all the way from 97th st. I didn't know where I was or how I got there but it was because of that statue that I was found. That said, I have lived in NYC most of my life to this day though no longer in that greatest neighborhood in the universe and I always wondered where this statue was. I knew it was west of Broadway but never bothered to check riverside dr or that high. LOL. For some reason I always thought it was south of 97th instead of north which why I never found it. Although come to think of it I never really actively even did a google search and I feel like an idiot. Thank you for finding it. Sometimes the memory felt like it might have been a dream but there it is.
