What a great video! Thank you for letting us live vicariously through you going to the NY ComiCon 😄 I could watch this kind of video for hours -- meeting artists, digging through boxes of comics, and paging through huge portfolios of original art. Such a fun time, thank you.
Happy you are enjoying them. I have Sundays con video to post tomorrow and then tuesday should be the haul maybe wednsday if I am still exhausted from the con tomorrow lol
Thank you, I had a ton of fun. The original art book full of 1950-60s Archie, Millie, Bunny and other romance stuff was amazing. I had to buy 4 pages wish I could afford a ton more. One day
I love the Victory comic bins. Huge selection, completely alphabetized, neatly bagged/boarded and most of the comics are always in great shape. Other vendors don't even come close to how well they organize their setup
I love cons, I hate lines and crowds they give me so much anxiety, but the all the amazing things to see at the con help me get over that. And at the end of the day I just want to keep going to more.
Another awesome video from my favorite comic youtuber! Pop Comics has a genuine infectious enjoyment for books and artists that cuts through a sea of other more dour and speculative youtubers. Every time I get a notification for another vid it brightens my day! 👍
This really feels like you made out really well and finding really cool stuff and getting a lot of signed things. Overall one of your best and fun videos so far. :) Thank you for the videos you put out :)
Babs Tarr was actually quite refreshingly candid. All these artists are here to clean up. They make massive revenues on stuff they never sell otherwise.
went to alot of dealers looking for Jumbo and Horror comics from the Golden Age did not find anything. Do you know the names of some dealers that have these books so i can check next year.
What I did the first day was pop around and just asked every dealer with golden age if they had any fiction house. Helps save time and lets you get through all the vendors really quickly.
Awesome pickups!! Loved seeing the original art from Jacob Chabot. I would have snagged Superhero Adventures cover. He had some great prices. Was also cool seeing you in the chat for Alex’s claim sale. Hope the rest of the weekend goes awesome. 👍
Thank you, I feel like my money goes to a better place when I buy direct from artist vs corporation etc. And I get really cool limited stuff made by my favorite artists. Its a triple win.
Excellent Presentation Spot On for Captivating My Attention Throughout the Entirety of Comic Con. So Looking Forward to the Sharing of All The AWESOMENESS!!! From Ontario Canada
These are such fun videos! I love the enthusiasm you have for collecting for your own enjoyment and not just for flipping to make quick money. It was my first time at NYCC this year and this has been a lovey video to watch back on and re-live some of that atmosphere. Thanks!
Loved your vlogs man! Thanks for sharing footage of the con. And love to see all these variants and also some of the comics in my dutch language. Love the art of Warren Louw and Mirka andulfo
Sucks I did not run into you llooks lik you had fun digging for books though. Great getting to meet so many talented artists as well thanks for sharing
Thank you. It was nice to meet you guys. Did you see the next day they were $1 each I had to stop looking there was no way I could carry all I wanted home.
Very, very cool video. Getting some major FOMO from seeing all the coverage from NYCC and your videos are really helping with that. REally like your thoughts on investing so much time and money on Artists Alley and totally agree with you giving directly to your favorite artists. Rest up and keep on rocking.
Not really when your in a such crowded space with people who could be sick. If you ever been to a con you would know its a high chance you catch something there. I always do.
