For the N1000 Series, the 8 car sets whose sound is similar to Bombardier R179 has Mitsubishi (MELCO) IGBT traction. Toyo Denki traction is used for the 4 and 6 car sets.
@@bluemerxld If you have the Siemens GTOs ready, then perfect, because set 1033F is the only train left. The rest of the fleet have had retrofitted with IGBT-VVVF with set 1001F using SiC-VVVF.
jonathan chan so I think the Keikyu N1000 series uses multiple pulses to accelerate which is the reason you hear the same pulse sound over again, whilst with the R160B, I think it uses only one pulse, since It is a subway train.
I wish the R32 or 42s ran on the Q line so that it can receive the R179s. Also they should have tuned up the air conditioning and heater so that it can finally run on underground lines and not the above ground lines. Oh wait that means a fleet swap with the J and Z lines and sadly the Q almost has 75 foot long trains so they can’t run on the J and Z lines. But it would be surprising to see an R160 Siemens in service on the J and Z lines.

@@josephbell2160 And NYC is far more important how? It's got one of the most delayed public transit systems in the world, a ludicrously high poverty and crime rate, major traffic jams (to be fair tokyo is worse in this regard), it's only redeemable qualities are the NYSE, UN offices and a large number of company hq's. Tokyo on the other hand has an average public transport delay of less than 40 seconds annually, an above average cleanliness, a low density of those who are internationally defined as "homeless" (Runaways are an issue though), some of the best universities and hospitals in the world, a capital city and home to the main office of the first and third largest motor vehicle manufacturers in the world. Comparing the two even knowing Positives and Negatives Tokyo is better in most cases.
@@misahohimeima1981 It's more important because what goes on there pretty much effects the whole planet. You're talking about local stuff with each city. I'm talking globally and NYC has the United Nations and other global corporations that Tokyo doesn't have. And it has Wall Street. Need I say more?.
@@josephbell2160 We're talking about regional level stuff here hence I didn't go into detail on the UN offices but if you want to talk on a larger scale sure An average of $3,000 a square foot per year rent, 400+ murders a year compared to 219 in the whole of Japan, rampant police corruption and extremely high tax kick the list off, while yes the UN offices are important they overall don't balance out the other crap that goes on.
