Wow great movie really good job great Graphics the future amazing I didn’t quite get the year but I know it’s probably in the 23rd century it’s gonna take a while to get to that stage anyway thanks really enjoyed it.
So I was going to give this movie 6 to 7 stars out of 10. In one of the comments someone said the main character, Jack, was also the director, the producer, wrote the screenplay and the musical score. Now I give this 10 out of 10 Stars
10 stars !!! This is a masterpiece ! Perfect audio, perfect speeches, no stupid music covering dialogs, perfect characters, percect plot, perfect cinematics. Flaws ?? I challenge anyone to create such a masterpiece without some little flaw. Hey this is fiction, after all.
Very nicely done. Jack Moik (who played Walker) wore a lot of hats in the making of this movie. His roles included Director, Producer, original music, and original screenplay, amongst other duties.
Now thats what one would call a super ace film,10 stairs i give it,cause of the story line, and the amount off action withen it,makes it a big winner in my eyes, cheers for shareing it with us all here on utube,,julieann whelan in ireland apr,,22th,2023
Hey! This was actually good. It ticks all the boxes, bad guys, good guys, space ship fights, small ships, large ships, land battles, death, some subtle comedy, a possible love interest and it all wraps up in the end. I know, previous sentence was a paragraph. 🤣
⭐️ ⭐️ 🌟 ⭐️ ⭐️ Good B movie. Though as long as the rights holders for Clan wolf and Smoke Jaguar don’t see those patches on the male lead’s jackets it will long live in B-Movie history. Worth your time!
For a low budget movie I liked this. Was pleasantly surprised, great ship designs. The feel and look reminded me alot of live action scenes in the 90's computer games like wing commander, C&C, etc....good stuff:)
You point out some good qualities no one can deny, but come on: Nydenion is a hot fussy mess and exists at the total nadir point of filmmaking. Good stuff? Seriously?
Anyone else notice the Clan Smoke Jaguar and Clan Wolf patches from Battletech on Walker's flight suit? Nice little nod to the Battletech/MechWarrior franchise. Cool movie.
Nydenion was fairly well written, and the special effects were exceptionally well done. Overall production design gets an A+, and original ship design (as well as miniature fabrication!) gets an A++ rating. There are aspects of the film that could arguably have been better... but considering NONE of the actors had any "actor-training" i.e. "method acting"? I think that an exceptional job was done. A movie's first and most important purpose, is to entertain. This is something that "Nydenion" does with ease. One thing that cannot be duplicated or bull-shitted... It is a commonality among men who have served in the military. They move with a certain poise, that is unlike most civilians. This is doubly the case, when they are carrying small-arms. None of these actors exhibited that trait... They appeared rather awkward with their weaponry. That's about the only criticism that I could give to this film. However, to be fair? There are a great many A-list movies, that have the exact same problem. Actors are actors, and they aren't soldiers. A good director, gives his actors time to become comfortable with the props they are carrying around. This is so the actor can "feel" natural, when carrying them, and adjust their balance to compensate. If an actor doesn't appear comfortable carrying their prop weapon, then it becomes immediately apparent to a viewing audience. Perhaps a good technical advisor would have been a good addition to the production team. One with military time served, and small arms experience.
Not only can the actors manage their weapons, look at the German Volkstrum in ww2 and and these poor Russians getting drafted into Putins army, with billions dead in this movie the army would be scraping the bottom of the barrel too and oh in only hundreds of years and theres already billions of people were do they get time to wage war when all you'd be doing is making babies,it doesn't make sense and others will catch my drift 🤔✌
FYI "method acting" is an acting technique, and not any kind of training per se. It's when an actor gets so much into a character, that he doesn't leave the role when cameras stop rolling. Like that guy who played the Joker and kept annoying his fellow cast members with stupid jokes in their free time, just so he could "stay in character".
Wow, do you really think that highly of this film? Fair enough. Regarding realism, the thing that gets me the most is when actors portraying US military fail to salute correctly. I mean, how hard is it to at least Google it? Anyway, well-written and thoughtful review (although I think the final product isn't that good) and kudos to you for having the ability to express yourself so well.
For a B movie, this actually is good. Yes, the same old lines we have heard before many times, the same old stereotypes, but arranged skillfully and the actors do a good job. I enjoyed this.
@@TheBlueskyson Well I’m glad it’s finished and you guys made it and you put on a good product I thought cyborgs were excellent . As well as the main star of the show of the demons the captain Didn’t quite catch his name sorry but that guy has a lot of potential and The camera just loves him please someone please continue this great line of sci-fi thank you
This had the potential to be one of the best movies of the year . The story line and dialog were a little to much of a Base line standard Sci-Fi / Cowboy Western trope BUT . It is diffidently better than anything than Amazon , Bollywood , Disney , Netflix or 90% of Hollywood has put out from 2019 - 2022
I loved this movie. Also has one of the best fight scenes I've seen in a long time. I could actually tell what was going on. Definitely going to go watch more movies by this director whoever it is
Despite the fact that during the first six minutes of the film there were obvious similarities to Star Wars, Enemy Mine, and Starship Troopers this is a well done and enjoyable movie. The action sequences were tight and to the point.
I mean the graphics of Star Wars might’ve been pink depictions of Egyptian first fighters in a helicopter that they have . Anybody can use the depictions of the Egyptians it would be much more realistic because they are there in 4000 years ago so we surround ourselves with something real so it’s anybody’s starfighters but I know what you’re saying so I didn’t think it was much of Star Wars I thought they had their own thing going but that’s just me.
You mentioned enemy mine which tells you're from 80's. The soldier that looked up at starfigher version of Firefox at 0:57 copied from starcraft terran marine looking at wraith fighter. The ships design copied from mixture of Wing Commander, Starship Troopers, Space Marine, Space Above & Beyond, Battlestar Galactica and the ventral wings starfighters with long forward fuselage all the way to radome is mixture of Star Wars + Wing Commander. The best thing they did is they made the spacecraft size practical and realistic that are bigger than present day fighter jets like Wing Commander 3 which is correct. The movie could be better if they fix the starfighters design not to have air intake.
@@emmanuelstamatakis8218 If possible, please restate your post concisely and with greater precision in stating and supporting your thesis. Thanks so much.
must say... i really, really, really enjoyed this... simple, to the point... good to great graphics.. acting was ok, good, real... well done.. thumbs up.. will watch more.. fab! thank you.
Excellent movie, specially as the writer was director, actor, and I assume participated in all the movie making stuff! He deserves to be on a big company pay roll !
best movie around. i think walkers friend needs a new update so she knows what to do when walker makes a mistake .. ( if you know what i mean) also we need a new star trek. this would be a great way to continue on). old man rich
Ya know for a low budget movie this is really good, the acting kinda sucks in some places but the special effects are pretty good and it's a movie that I will be watching until the end
This was very good movie. I were stunned, first time ever plain real humans surrounded by big ships and not over acting. Good fist fight in the end were very pleasing moment. I were really sure that he gonna shoot the bad guy but it resulted to fist fight. Altho they could breath in every system without breathing gear were obiovous flaw but other than that there was lot to enjoy like that sleep mode to fool other ships was great moment. Really entertained by this one. I hope movies could have more everyday human people acting to make it more realistic than over acting actors.
I had passed on this many times until now. Nothing sounded good until I ran a cross this movie again. Very nice to see a non-digital effects and set design! Love a digital sequel!
I liked it. When they referred to the fighter crafts designation as Charlie T29 I was sort of hearing Charlie Tuna and wanted to call it the tuna can. I mean this as a compliment, I was engaged with the story and characters and I thought a corny, slightly derogatory nick name for the ship applied by the pilot would add to his character. In any case my unsolicited criticism is maybe it could have been 20 minutes shorter, due to the film's overall pacing and tempo. In all ways however, it is better than the recent offerings from the big production companies.
So far so good. ;) He had a good character... :) Always laugh at the end. Love these Movies. Creativity at its best. Like Indie Dev's making good games. Send Support ffs...
BRAVO, WELL DONE Hollywood, take notice This is how movies should be done. Maybe the next 5 years you can make something like this, cuz ya sure Don the last 5 years.
This movie had flown beneath my radar and it was an ideal movie to watch on a chill Sunday afternoon. It is amazing that a movie that dwarfs many of the mega million-dollar budgets of other flicks can surpass them in entertainment value. Great movie, I was entertained throughout. The bad guy's howl of pain & defeat when everything was crashing upon him was everything. I had to replay that howl. If they gave Oscars for such things, he definitely would win my vote. LOL
The Fighter Aircrafts here is more Advance looking than what they have in Star Wars..in terms of Transparent/Glass Status/Data displays and Control Panels 👍🖖
stunning-fantastic!! hollywood should take notes from you! Great acting and special effects. Accurate physics solid plot-I hope you and cast rearn some kind of award or funds to do a sequal. much sucess to you!!
Shame that the audio is rubbish considering it's not a bad film, if this had have been a bigger budget film it could have been really good! I hope the director gets a better budget for any further films just to see if there's any chance of the person being really good.
I like the visual style and overall mood of this movie. I am impressed. I like the grittiness and smokey quality of it. They did a good job. I have to wonder what country of origin is it and why it had to be dubbed into english. The dubbing is as good as possible I think.
Jack Moik, born in Germany 1967 is a digital matte painter / editor / digital illustrator and music composer for motion picture, TV, commercials, and game.
Where did this movie originate from and you’re right that smoking quality yeah you’re good now that you mention it it was really that’s what it was and it was awesome huh. Thanks for sharing.
@@imichael2411 Well thanks for sharing that was very enlightening because I had no idea I wish him the best cause he really did a good job if we’re talking about the captain here thanks for sharing again.
Excellent movie, loved the spaceships and switches! paid homage to the great movie staples, great story good bad guys and great heroes! loved it, these people need a bigger budget is all, wow! Thank you for the wonderful entertainment. !
It was initially a German language film only. Additionally, with it being produced by amateurs, it saw only limited release that year. I feel that had the movie been translated into English, it most likely would have grossed far more at the box office in both Europe, and the United States. I've been a huge fan of "Nydenion" since I first learned of it being made, over a period of years, by an exceptionally talented and dedicated group of science fiction fanatics. Some Sci-Fi "fan-zines" did short articles on Jack Moik, and on the production crew of "Nydenion". All the various spacecraft featured in the film, were scratch-built, with kitbashed details, as were the earliest shooting miniatures for Industrial Light and Magic, as well as Universal-Hartland. Special effects that had been pioneered by ILM, and Universal-Hartland were studied, and utilized for this film. Basically, "Nydenion" was a film that was made by fans, FOR fans. I opine, that considering the small budget given the film? It succeeded beyond Jack Moik's initial wildest imaginings.
First of all great movie! I wish there was more gritty sci-fi movies. And please take this as a compliment this was at higher end of the "B" movie range. I can only imagine what the director and writer could do with more time and money and I hope you get the chance.
Hollywood is getting to over the top for me. They destroyed the fast n the furious series as far as I'm concerned. I like a great action movie too , but come-on. I'm with you on your comment. And your comment is 5 of 5 for me
So I am 57 and out of touch with cool new movies, but this movie is good, just meat and potatoes SF, no B.S., science you can believe in. Nice stuff, like who is the lead actor? Geddy Lee? He rocks, thank you for posting this.
This was cool. C+ at best. Im always into space movies. The main being rogue and humans living on spaceships, time jumping, and AI companionship was all good writing. Only thing i see would push this movie over was if they had other lifeforms that lived on the other planets etc. But not bad at all. Also i think that was Chris Lambert
Need to watch for those typos more closely. No artificial gravity in a small one or two seat space craft. Don't be drinking water from an open top bottle.
This is absolutely awesomest space ship movie i am have ever seen, the story is great, the ship designs and synergy is amazing! This even blows star trek and star wars out of the water. its cool as heck. it is like the best video game and mission story. However i am would have named it NYDENION: STAR WARRIOR.
One fine SF without brutal-bloody scenes to bring emotions. Its done with great production(camera, actors, effects, sound...). Like SF from 80's, accent is on the story rather than "only flashy effects".
In the very popular genre of sci-fi, it is difficult to create empathy with the lead actors. This great entertaining romp through space, kept me riveted and I HAD to see the bad guys get "IT", so... bravo! I, like many, were left wondering will they?... what does he do now... and , will his hair keep growing? :-)
@@AussieBigG In your opinion, I probably don’t! But I understand something which is much more important. And that is KINDNESS! Can you understand that?
@@AussieBigG This had very good and realisitc acting made sure to remind us that humans arent perfect fighting machines with all their faults. Very realistic acting and enjoyed a lot of sargastic humour in it.
I am saying thank you for producing such a movie. Well balanced storyline and continuous action. I liked how the Senate was talking to General Galligan. But not the perfect ending. Nevertheless excellent movie.
