@Carlos Vazquez - just healthy Ewing and Camby match up with Robinson and Duncan. So the can't stop LJ Allen and spree. The Spurs got lucky the Knicks was injured, all they did was focused on Spree and he still put points up. You can't do that with Ewing on the floor.
@Carlos Vazquez - neither did the Spurs most teams don't make the finals every year. The match up for the 99 season would have been different with Ewing he was the star.
The 2012-13 season was amazing. Camby, Kurt, Sheed, K-Mart, Kidd, Prigioni, Melo, JR, Tyson, Amar'e, Shump, Chris Copeland. Would've loved to see them win that year
That was my highest moment as a Knicksfan. I watched nearly every game in the middle of the night in Germany. I gues it was the gamewinner against the heat, I cried so loud that I woke up my neighbors asking if everythings allright. They saw how happy I was and then turned like I was on drugs 😄

Even though I have watched this a few times and never commented, it's always dope to see that they get along well, view each other as equals, and can rag on everyone without being lame.

1998-99 John Starks gets traded to the GS Warriors in exchange for Latrell Spreewell. The Raptors trade Marcus Camby to the Ny Knickerbockers in exchange for Charles Oakley.
I'll never forget the excitement these guys brought to New York Basketball was sure We the would win the Championship with all the team playing their Hearts out leaving everything out on the floor and this team we have now is similar in their efforts and it's really Great because they're playing incredible Team Ball Thanks Guys U definitely leave some fantastic memories from that time
Charlie Ward should be here too. Houston wouldn't be where he is today without him. He made all of those assists to Houston. Shout out to Childs too. He played so many big games for us.
Not a Knicks fan but as kid my little brother and I always pulled for the real underdogs. The two seasons prior we pulled for the Stockton and Malone Jazz and in '99 we were all in for the Knicks. It didn't hurt that we are Tennessee boys and Houston was a Vol. Loved how Camby stepped in when Ewing went down. How electric LJ was when most everyone had counted him out already.
In 1997 the Knicks would have beaten everybody, but David Stern directed it perfectly in favour of his beloved commercial Bulls... 1997 was the year of years...
I was with you till the last two sentences. Very underrated, automatic from the mid range, good basketball IQ, and amazing fundamentals. But no way in hell he is a top 10 Knick of all time, you need a history lesson.
Knicks were my team growing up....and I was born and raised in Boston....I fell in love with John Starks game and tenacity....sucked he had to be traded....but still followed this team during this run
This was the best Knicks squad that I ever seen! They never quit in that Miami game 5 game Even though everything was against them. They had nothing to lose. By the way Patrick Ewing was a big part of that postseason too. He played well in that Miami series and against Indiana.
It's crazy how things work out I always thought this team was more talented than the teams ewing had in his prime but he was a shell of himself in 99 this team had way more firepower if he had this team in his prime he would have a ring
I liked this Knick team a lot. I think I liked them even more than the Pat Riley coached Knicks teams of the nineties. My favorite team was the Knicks of the seventies, and then this team was next.
Squad had some serious talent.. to see where the Knicks are at now is a disgrace to former teams like this one smh... each of these dudes is underrated
