10 dried chilli deseeded (soak in hot water)
2 red chilli
2 cili padi (bird eye)
3 serai (sliced)
1 thumb kunyit (turmeric)
1 thumb lengkuas (galangal)
5 garlic
10 shallots
4 buah keras (candle nut)
1/4 thumb belacan (shrimp paste)
Blend with water
2 eggs
3 daun kaduk (chopped thinly)
3 limau purut (kafir lime)
2 tbsp sugar
Salt to taste
200g santan (coconut milk)
500g white fish (sliced)
Marinate for 2 hours
Leaf measurement
20 x 16 cm (8 x 6 inches)
18 x 6cm (7 x 2.5 inches)
Burn leaf to soften
Line banana leaf with daun kaduk before putting the fish filling.

OMG! This is one dish I miss, I never eaten for 30 years. It’s Daun Kaduk, OIC. In our early days, when internet was not available, I always wonder what’s that leaf! And the folding method. Thank you for sharing! I will give it a try when I can grab hold of the leaf.
