I feel you. I have to add, that the bail laws won’t fully fix the problem with this neighborhood, which is, no specialized hospitals. That man should never have had to go to Jamaica Hospital, 16 miles away, in a city like NYC, where hospitals are close. A Trauma Center needs to be created in those areas as well as the idea of bail reform. The program of it being a throwaway community is part of the problem too, but hospitals are definitely either looking for the dollar, or closing down in NYC.
