Part 2 is just a bunch of bullshit propaganda painting the cops as the victims even though they were literally in the middle of someone else's home kicking in their bedroom door when they got shot... So yeah..... Lol
This is why veteran mental health is so important. They come back from being deployed and don’t know how to adjust. Even regular soldiers who didn’t have combat experience it’s still hard to adjust back to the civilian world. So sad for him and the officers that put their lives on the line.
A solider is trained to kill, an after combat becomes the only thing they know how to do. my heart goes out the the U.S army, police force, S.W.A.T, and special forces. keep up the good work
What is even more important is that the mental illness of the US military mantra doesn't get perpetuated and then sent to other countries where this type of behavior is viewed as perfectly normal as long as patriotic white Americans totally okay it upon nonwhite people in the lands they invade... Point blank. America got a taste of America in this incident.🤷🏽♂️
@@vingram100 None of the cops tried to get him until later. And also by training at least for me, also in Colorado, where this shooting took place, were not supposed to head back for the officer down, were supposed to head back to engage the shooter, and then deal with any wounded

As an ER nurse I see all types of psych cases show up to the ER and all types of cops showing up with such individuals. You get cops that clearly think they are above the law or are on power-trips or believe themselves to be something they are not while wearing that badge and carrying that gun. You get psych patients who are not really mental cases, rather people who just need a bit of love or affection or self-respect or at the risk of seeming insensitive, people that are lazy and only find excuses not to assume responsibility in life and carry their own weight and only seek attention and make themselves put to be a victim of life and society. You also get good cops, kind hearted, humble and seemingly there to help people and who have picked their profession with a ernest and sincere heart with sincere intentions....and you also get spych cases who are real psych cases, in the sense that these people are really living in a different reality and they will need all of the supervision in the world not be a threat to themselves and other people because there is psychotic, violent, harmful intentions existing within them. At the end of the day, you hope that good prevails in all sectors of life and in people's heart and minds. My condolences goes out to the family and loved ones of this seemingly good officer trying to do his job and putting his life of the line. I myself have been attacked several times at the hospital by psych patients trying to viciously harm me, sadly, I where no badge or carry no gun and my only job is to care for these people without the threat of wanting to hurt them or to seem like a threat to them as sometimes cops do given that they have an assertive and authoritarian presence carrying a gun and hurling orders at them.

I have expressed my opinion about many issues in the U.S.on these panels. The problem is that with the majority of this country's citizens we cannot even get to a point where we can disagree on something. Somebody does not care, somebody has a strong belief in something coupled with extreme ignorance and lack of knowledge (not education!). Of course I do not blame them, the crap they teach you in schools and university is just shameful. The education is designed to serve a system which is based on corruption, greed , wars and of course profit. That is what the law school are all about and of coursethe rest..

Yes. Most Police have some military experience and many I would say have untreated PTSD. Like Roy Oliver, a Texas PD who used his AR15 to put 5 shots in 0.9 seconds into a car moving away from him killing an innocent teenage passenger. Roy Oliver never left Afghanistan.

Oh man I’ve seen this one. There was a body cam video that was taken before this that had one of the deputies speaking to him calmly. This happened a few hours later when they came back
As tragic as this Incident was/is, there are also very positive messages and images depicting, for example, Empathy, Compassion, 100% Bravery and Selflessness by these Amazing Law Enforcement Officers. i mean he is ex military. you start bashing the door. he probably has PTSD and gone on defense. cops should of brought swat to handle the situation in a safe manner especially someone who is under mental health issues... mental health + ptsd + ex military = probably armed and ready to kill to protect himself
I'm obviously no cop, but if that shield she carried was able to stop 5.56 rounds, shouldn't she have positioned herself BETWEEN the door and her fellow officers? If so, she may have been able to save them all. I noticed that when shots rang out, she immediately backed away. Which I realize would be a natural reaction, to save herself. But unless I'm missing something, and I'm right about that shield, she possibly made a huge tactical mistake. If for nothing else, to get that shield in front of her to shield herself. It's a tragedy no matter what, and I feel sorry for that officer's family. He seemed to be a good dude.
Alexis Cou there is a good youtube video about why americans are so susceptible to PTSD specially in simple wars like Afghanistan and Irak where thy have all the advantages you want in a battlefield

@@ADAM96667the military is to blame for this one ,they should examine all soldiers when returning from war. but they don't because the military don't give a f**k about you after you have served Thier agenda.
That would require the mental health professionals to actually report to NICS database, violating confidentiality laws, and opening them up to lawsuits, it’s tricky to say the least However if a court has said you’re crazy, you are prohibited from buying a firearm(of course that only works for law abiding people)
Something that needs to be expressed, especially with the stigma that’s already placed upon mental health issues! That stigma and the insults as well as discrimination and provider abuse is what stops many individuals from seeking the help they deserve and need! Also not everyone who is labeled as mentally ill is capable of doing something so tragic like this! Like personally myself, my mental health issues are from trauma from long term psychological abuse and being sexually assaulted as a 6 year girl then again as an adult being a human trafficking victim! So the paranoia is not something that just showed up randomly and I felt it was fun to live in survivor mode! Also for me, knowing what it’s like to be in so much pain, as abuse and discrimination leaves behind a pain that no words can describe and it’s something that forever changes who you used to be! And for most individuals it makes you very uncomfortable in your own skin as it’s very confusing and complex! I instead desire to reach individuals that have experienced something similar as myself as I might not have all the answers, none of us do that’s the nature of life! However I have a lot of experience in how not to handle it process it and react to it as the way I’ve coped with it over the years was the worst ways and it made a lot of the pain and heartbreaking issues worse and I don’t want anyone else to have to live with that and waist so much time like I did! And to understand that self love is far more liberating and fulfilling compared to the desire of your abuser caring cause they never will! You must release that to ease that pain and trauma…. That’s all, I’m glad everyone was okay! Thankfully cause that’s a real wild situation as the public needs to fully realize they are still human! And every officer there that night! They now live with mental health issues with mental anguish and emotional distress… and for the rest of their life certain events will be triggers and it’s difficult to process and figure out how to cope! The most important thing is become fully self aware…

Sadly, these are the side effects of war that has been going on for many decades to all societies. PTSD is a real problem. It makes a person's view of the world really twisted and a dangerous place.
It's not necessarily the war itself. It's that the military makes you a warrior, yet when you come home they don't teach you how to be a civilian again.

I'm not some Internet professional, but even I know that kicking the door in was a bad idea there... The man suffers from ptsd, which means loud noises (like a door being breached) can trigger an episode. That's likely what happened and why he opened fire. I've seen S.W.A.T teams take upwards of 6hrs before resorting to force when it comes to singular targets or hostage situations. The guy wasn't a threat until they cornered him and continued to pressure him. Their best move would've been to fall back when they realised he was barricaded. People who are mentally ill can still be talked out of shitty situations... If he had just tried to reach him on a human level like before, perhaps they would've caught a flurry of words instead of bullets.
