Hi! Our dorm was an apartment style suite! NYU has both traditional and apartment style dorms. Traditional dorms do not have private kitchens, and apartment style dorms have kitchens in the suite. The overall space in apartment style dorms tend to be bigger although the bedrooms are smaller to accommodate for the living rooms. University Hall and Third North are the only apartment style dorms available to freshman, however, third north is not exclusively freshman (there are upperclassmen). Hope this helps! ☺️
