Hey Chris, some great notes there! We do love the colour orange and yes you need to bring the fam back for another holiday to NZ but his time spend a bit more time down south so we can do more flying!
Used to take my students there on their cross country training, they would always get high and have to go around landing on 14 the first time, the sloping terrain around LX would make them think they were lower than they were 😂 Good to hear the club is going well, those motels look good with a hanger, might have to bring the old Cub down for a night sometime
Good morning Kynan. Just a heads-up mate. I'm going to be in Murchison, next year, 2025, from June to August. Possibly into September. Just 40 minutes away is the Lake Station Airport. With a grass runway of 1500mt length. The airfield is mainly used by Nelson Lakes Gliding Club. The sheep/beef Lake Station is owned by the McConachie family, on whose land the airfield is situated. Just beside SH 63. Google, Lake Station Airport NZLE. Pilot Info. That will give you links to what you need to know. My point is, I can pick you up, take you into St Arnaud village, and we'll get a feed, and then if needed, arrange a night's stay at Murchison Holiday Park, then bring you back the next day to the airport. I'm going to be at the Holiday Park anyway, so no inconvenience to me. My only motive is to say thank you personally as a subscriber to your channel. Kynan! Didn't know you could fly a plane. I have seen you flying around Cromwell but never realized it was you up there haha. I live in the same street as Goldfields Primary. How long have you been flying? Great video by the way. I used to work in the kitchen when the restaurant was at Highlands. I will have to keep an eye out now.
