The blueness of the lake is breathtaking as are the others in the area, Ohau and Tekapo. One thing a bit puzzling, don’t most of the runways have their numbers like 15/33 or was some maintenance being carried out. Lindis Pass in winter, so beautiful. I will look it out again on my old 1962 film. Thanks for sharing and I love the camera work.
@@kynanyu I suppose it was the experience of first flying into Norwich (UK) and I called finals on 09 until ATC had a laugh and said I was on 04. Another student pilot on his QXC said that the Tower wanted to sign his certificate that he had lined up on the wrong runway! Of course I put ATC right and complained about the lack of maintenance of their numbers! I never made that mistake again. Mind you, Milford airstrip did not have numbers in 1962. Cheers and thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching! It’s the insta Go3s but it didn’t get much usable footage off it as I have just work out while watching it back my head is a bit like a swivel when i’m flying 😂
