I love it! These songs, they make it so easy for a 53-year-old lady to do her daily exercising, I play this song and get to walking in place, dancing and I feel so good, with my Bose earphones, this music is great for people of our error to still enjoy and exercise and just be so grateful to have lived in such a great error of music. I was over 350lbs, and I am now 220lbs and still losing, with our music here. I buried my only son he was 31 years old to a traffic accident 2 weeks ago, and he use to say mom guess what's playing he would put this song on off the play list and sit down and play on his phone and say mom you have to live for me and one day your grand babies and watch me get on the treadmill for my 45 minutes, He's gone now, and no gran babies, and I Now I have to still live for my baby that is what he would want. Thanks for posting this song. Ladies of our error get up enjoy this beautiful music and keep enjoying this world. Remember how good you felt then and get back to that feeling get up pray and live, exercise, eat right. God bless you all
Back in the 80's, I was a DJ and made Slow Jam mixed tapes for the girls and with so many beautiful love songs, I always had to add YOU & I or Together Always by O'Bryan! Nothing comes close to Slow Jams from the 80's, hands down! =) It's 2020 and I still love listening to this song!
This has always been such a beautiful song. I grew up in Saginaw, Michigan where the original singer Stevie Wonder was from, but O’Bryan’s version is very romantic and can’t beat his unique voice at 4:01 that adds a special element. One of the most beautiful voices and the best remake of all time. 😊
This brother is so underrated and NEVER got the due he deserved. Like the Rachelle Farrells, Chante Moores and Liz Hoages, Maxwells , O'Byran came along when black folk pretty much went wholesale for the Rap (no disrespect). But, the biggest culprits are the greedy industry people that CHOSE to put money and glitz over actual talent, that is, when it comes to promotion and air-play. For close to 40 years now, our ears -- esp here in America-- have 'acquired' a taste for junk, machines, turn-table scratching, and some person rappin' and spittin' in a microphone. I personally think R&B/Soul-- individuals that can/could ACTUALLY sing and/or play instruments-- died 40+ years ago. O'Bryan...yet another talented artist that didn't get his/her due, due to the emergence of rap and out-of-control commercialization of radio-stations-- and GREEDY executives that gets to choose whom - and NOT to-- promote.
Why did you type “no disrespect for rap”? Rap deserves our full disrespect. It erased music from our culture, and compared to Soul, it is junk. Long ago it devolved into 100% audio pornography & glorification of black-on-black murder, and all without musical merit. It is time that we started plainly, loudly, and consistently rejecting it and speaking out against it. Bring back music! Make Black America Great Again!
@@paulhue86 lol...I hear ya, brother. I guess I'm being something of a 'delegate' . You're right, and I echo you 2,000%..."Bring back REAL Black "MUSIC"!!!"
@@michaeldean9338 Y’all tripping all hip hop ain’t trash and all R&B ain’t gold this is a great song imo that’s why I’m here but let’s not pretend that Obryan is a some sort of legend this is his only hit jam and it’s a remake
@@paulhue86 Too Pimp a Butterfly Illmatic It takes a nation of millions to hold us back Black on Both Sides Enter the wu tang 36 chambers By all means things fall apart The Infamous riding dirty regulate g funk era get rich or die trying good kid mad city it was written. This is a remake. Stevie wonder wrote, and performed it originally. With that being said, this version, Steve's original version, and the good times version are all very good.
Gosh, this song gives me CHILLS every time I listen to O' Bryan singing it.❤❤❤ I just can't get enough of hearing it, it's like a drug, you get addicted. O'Bryan put his stamp on this song❤❤❤
Your voice is sooo smooth and sooo easy on the ears. I can't wait to hear your new cd. You still have the wonderful vocals and handsome looks. Go get your blessings.
That's the thing....I loved O'bryan back in the day but although he's a fantastic musician with a great voice he's not really a performer/entertainer. I always someone instructed him to "just stand there, sing & look good". I may very well be wrong but that's how it came across to me. I used to work in the music industry & quite a few people back then were told exactly that!
I was challenged by a customer at my job to listen to this song and compare to the version done by Stevie Wonder. I must give this original version my vote! I don't know if I'm partial to it having grown up hearing it in constant airplay, but the Wonder version is close, but can't touch O'Bryan!
O'Bryan I bet got his due here and there in the 1980s, but no one talks about him anymore among some of the best R&B crooners and singers of all time. His last studio album was when he was in his prime was in 1986 (Surrender), so that may have something to do with no one discussing him anymore.
I absolutely love this song so much 💓!. I feel it throughout my whole body and it instantly calms me down, or else brings certain emotions and memories to me.
To Mr Craig Reynolds l as Your Wife Mrs. Terry Reynolds can't wait to sing this song to you Babe ........May GOD continue to Cover US BOTH and l'll SEE YOU SOON, WRAP MY ARMS AROUND YOU AND HEAR YOUR VOICE SOON 06-2021 ...... THANK YOU MR .O'BRYAN #WE'REJUSTFANS
If you want to touch your soul..Songs in the Key of life is a play all double album you won't be disappointed. Stevie Wonder is the truth in life and music..
My Girlfriend who became my wife of 20 + yrs used to watch this video that she taped from soul train over and over. I used to get pissed off lol even tho i loved this song and the way O'Bryan sang...I was jelly. Not at O'Bryan but at Kenny who looked like him. My Girl used to flirt and stare at Kenny while holding my hand during passing from class to class at school. But its all good now I'm divorced and with a way better Lady. And I still jam You and I - but by Stevie Wonder JK O'Bryan too
