Final production of O.co Coliseum #ColiConvert from Athletics baseball to Raiders football in Oakland, California October 5th and 6th 2013. New footage, different angles set to music for a film like presentation.
Yeah I've always wondered to why even bother to have those top tier seats if they are never used. I assume poor attendance. Has it always been that way or just the past few years?
This is amazing, because I never watch football, but I kind of figured since they only need 360 feet that the field would run home plate to center given it's 400 feet away, not down the lines across the outfield and most the infield...
You couldn't fit it in the other direction. A football field has another dimension, width. A football field is 160 feet wide. You couldn't fit it in the other direction
@@howie9751 it has always gone across the baseball field going from foul line to foul line. My point, had you actually read it, was that you couldn't fit the field rotated 90 degrees because it's too wide to fit the spot that he's writing about.
I remember watching the Raiders in the sixties and early seventies and the field went from home plate to center field. It changed when they put the new football seats in the outfield.
I'm sorry but am I the only one that thinks this doesn't look like either a baseball or football stadium? It looks a the wreaked remains of a stadium that used to be great for both. I've never been to Oakland but I can see why the teams are unhappy.
I was working on that crew, it was awesome ,I worked the plywood crew ,3 layers of plywood about an inch thick, put together like a jigsaw puzzle over a long plastic carpet that went on the grass first, the whole pitchers mound is removed and stored under mount Davis , I think it took us about 19 hours or so, we were going crazy fast that day...as you can see
@@BakerZone760 Metrodome was a lousy baseball stadium. It was OK for football in its day, but of course the NFL teams want super posh expensive club rooms and such.
end of an era no longer seeing a baseball diamond on a football field. They were such terrible places to watch games though, a lot of seats far from the action.
