The Celts blinded the Iberian Peninsula 2000 years ago so it is perfectly natural for the friend to feel that blood flowing through his veins. maria teresa gomes me too, I am welsh with Cornish father and I’m married to a Scottish lassie who spent part of her childhood in Catalonia. I speak Welsh, English and Portuguese she speaks English Spanish and Catalan. There are links between all these small nations culturally but if you want to delve further there are links between all of Europe, Scandinavian folk music is similar to Shetland music which is similar to Scots/Irish music which is similar to Northumberland, galego, Asturian, cantabrian, Breton, Welsh, Cornish: which are similar to English, french etc. There are links everywhere, it’s not just a Celtic thing.

Some of the best artists worldwide perform there every year (Altan, Young Dubliners, Old Blind Dogs, Dervish) and there's usually over 100K visitors.
