Hi First time viewer. Love the large modules and each one being on a wheeled stand. Do you have a video on the design and making of these wheeled supports?
Yep I have quite a few videos on them. I am using barricade floor underlayment for the top and bottom shelf. The frame is 2x4 and it stows 2 of my n scale modules which are ikea linnmon table tops. It is essentially a rolling crate for storage and transport, each of them has 110v power to link together. When not in use for trains they are a perfect workbench. I designed the o gauge to fit on top when the n scale isn’t in use. So at the moment the n scale is at a train show this weekend, so the o gauge is on top of metal folding sawhorses.
5:23 the tie is smashed some. I have bought used track here and there and the huge problem I have with it is that someone over tightened the ties bending them. This changes the track height, misshapen-ed when this happens some become junk. and often the center insulators get out of place and cause a short. Those that insist on using a lot of hold down pressure or use a power tool to tighten those screws, then instead screw down on each side of the bottom of those metal ties on that bottom edge and don't use the holes in the ties.
