OP Nayyar Saheb, whether you call him temperamental or even arrogant, was an undeniably gifted composer. His music stood alone. He didn't need LM. He instead groomed AB, who was struggling at the time in the shadows of her sister. Until OPN, she was nobody. Rafi Saheb gave some of his most memorable songs under OPN's baton as he also did with Naushad, Ravi, Shankar Jaikishan, Madan Mohan and others. His best duets are with Geeta Dutt and AB, under OPN's music direction. The main cause of LM-OPN feud is immaterial and inconsequential. She not having sung for him has not in the least been proven as a disadvantage to him. The magic of OPN's music rose above all. ❤🙏❤

Real reason may be entirely different which no one will ever reveal. Before Asha ji he was mainly connected with Geeta Dutt and Shamshad Begum even few songs to Suman kalyanpur. What made OPN to leave his family after joining with Asha ji speaks a lot about OPN. He even threw award in sea after the break up with Asha ji for film Pran jaye to Vachan na jaye. All other explanations are meaningless. Read between the lines.

The fact could be that Lata Mangeshkar didn't like being given only one song. She always tried to dominate over the music directors. Many music directors wanted to encourage new singers like Suman Kalyanpur, Usha Timothy, Radha Saluja, Sharada and others but went back to Lata Mangeshkar.

Sumanji was introduced a year earlier in the movie “Mangu” by music director Mohd. Shafi. Nayyar only recorded a scratch record version of Kabhi Aar Kabhi Paar with Suman, and a verse of an junior artist in Mohabbat Karlo Jee Bharlo - both relatively insignificant contributions of Sumanji to Nayyar.

@15:55 Shamshad Begum was most popular in early 40's in Lahore, Kolkata, Bombay, Delhi. Perhaps in 1940 or 1941 in Lahore, when Nayyar sahab was doing small errands for music studios..Shamshad Begum had promised to sing for him when he becomes a Music Composer. Shamshad Begum has always been a very authentic lady, a genuine individual. Lata Ji had big ego (no doubt she is queen amongst all singers) and Shamshad Begum was such a giant that she did not bother the association. Of course, after 1955 the song tones of Shamshad ji, Geeta Dutt ji saw decline but Lata was the flag bearer of such things. Rafi sahab ke sath bhi Lata ji did that. Some oldies even tell that she once disliked the giant of the giant - SD Burman da once, Naushad ji had to intervene but fir bhi ye maharani nhi mani! My grandpa frequently met Naushad ji from 1945-62.. Ego to sabme hota hi hai but Lata ji me apne time pe sabse jada guroor tha. Most beautiful duets with Rafi Sahab were composed by SD dada only..That era was really divine btw. Ab to shaitaani yug hai. Music jaise noise ban gya ho

Asha bhosle took advantage of rift between OPNayyar and Lara Mangeshkar. She became popular due to OP Nayyar and reached #2 position. When RD entered the music scene at Tesri Manzil then Asha thought that he will make her #1 singer ahead of Lata Mangeshkar and she dumped OPNayyar.

In this issue no body is mentioning actual reason for rift between O P N and Lataji. Actually during Asmaan recording planing Lataji asked who is this 0PN then asha said some new m d has come,then Lataji said i don’t sing for new mds. This conveyed to OPN by asha. OPN became angry.And rest is history.

Actually in the case of replacement of Roshan Saab and other one, o.p nayyar can't be held responsible. But why should lataji gets irritated in the matter?. It's also heard op ji was very aggressive and even harshly reacted with Rafi Saab being lately arrived after attending Sanker jaikishan recording. In many speculations it was told that being a new composer lataji didn't want to record her voice, Which hurt o.p.ji Actually absence of their union was a great loss to us and not to lataji or o.p.nayyar ji

Actually both are known to be very stubborn people so it is quite possible that when Lata didn't turn up, OP decided never to use her. I have heard the song specially composed for Lata, later sung by Rajkumari. It is nothing special compared to C Ramchandra and Naushad, so Lata didn't lose anything, Asha and OP both gained a lot, so best to forget it.

इस विषय में काफी चर्चा होती रही है. चाहे इरादा न रहा हो, किन्तु, इन परिस्थितियों के लिए कोई बात, लता जी के पक्ष पर, अवश्य हुई थी, जो बाद में स्पष्ट की जा सकती थी. मगर विधान को यही मंजू़र था, उनमें patch-up नहीं होना था, नहीं हुआ. कभी कभी, दोनों पक्ष अपनी अपनी जगह तर्क के आधार पर सही होते हैं, और बातें बनाने वाले, अपने पक्षपाती स्वभाव के कारण,दोषारोपण करने से नहीं चूकते. निश्चित ही लता जी को नैय्यर साहब को लगी चोट का आभास होगा. मगर उनमें विनम्रता की कमी के कारण, वे नैय्यर को मनाने का मन नहीं बना सकीं. नैय्यर साहब, अपरोक्ष रूप से ही सही, hurt हुए थे, जो Award अस्वीकार करने की धटना से जा़हिर होता है.

OPN was not female singer for his own music............agreed ????? then who was female singers ? Asha bhosale...........the one and only one after geet datt and shamshad begum.........my dear friends ...lata helped her sister in this way...............think on it. As far as I know, I was told that O.P Nayar had bought entire top floor flat of Shangrila apartments in the name of Aasha Bhosle. This building is situated near post office, Colaba. Great.

In my opinion, both were stubborn and egocentric. Both had problems with the angelic Mohd Rafi Saheb who was, is and forever will be the best singer of all time. Both were very easily replaced.

Dozens of songs picturized on Kishore ji were sung by Rafi saab. That too by different music directors. Also across decades in 1950s , 60s and 70s. Kishore was an exceptional singer but Rafi was greater than him n all other singers.

OP Nayyar was a great music director not because he avoided Lata ji but he provided great songs and music and he was certainly not the only one(music director) to do so.He was great but Lata ji s rendition remains unmatched regardless.

Asha boshle betrayed her family, marry Lata Jis manager Ganpat Rao Boshle. But she latter left his family and back to Lata Jis house. Then she built a relationship with O P Naiyar who was married. Shade Geeta Dutta and capture all O P Naiyar songs. When O P Naiyar Family left him Asha ji also left him. O P Naiyar lost everything and he left film industry. After that she again attach with a music director R D Burman, sang maximum his compositions. And latter divorce again. After death of RD barman she kept his mother in Old age home. She was wife of great SD barman. She wrote hundreds of songs.but this lady captured her everything nd left to die in Old age home. Latter she try to capture Hemant Boshle's (Son) house from his wife also with the help of money and legal case she capture Actress Sadhna housein her last age and for this struggle and tension Sadhna Ji Die. Everyone know know Lata ji record most number of songs in almost all indian languages but she don't have listed records. Asha ji took this opportunity and published that she was most recorded artist ever, as a gentslwomen Lata ji not argue. Lata Ji always sing for her won and for run his family on the other hand Asha ji always try to beat Lata ji which she never ever succeed. She also try to shade Great Md. Ragi shaf many times. Asha Ji may be a legend singer but never be a good person.

बहुत खूब लता मंगेशकर जी ने OP Nayyar ने साथ मिलकर काम नहीं किया इस बात का खूब प्रचार किया गया और एक नैरेटिव सेट किया गया । इस वीडियो में आपने भी अपनी बात रखी बहुत ही अच्छे तरह से बिनकिसी मिर्ची मसाले के । लता और OPN के बीच जो भी मन मिटावे था या नही था परंतु उनके साथ न काम करने को बहुत ही उछाला गया है । शायद ही कोई ऐसा platform हो जिस पर इसके अक्सर चर्चा न हो । लोग यह बताना ह्यही भूलते के किसी OPN ने बुलंदियों को छुआ बेगैर लाता जी से गीत गवाए । यह एक हक़्क़कस्ट है इस लिए लोगों को इस बात को मानने में कोई दिक्कत ह्यही होती । पर पत्रकारों , संगीत के जानकारों और वीडियो बनाने वालों ने इसी तरह की एक हक़्क़त लोगो से बफ सफाई से छुपा कर रखी है । कभी किसी interview करने वाले ने यह बात नही पूछी । और ना ही किसी ने इसपर वीडियो बनाया । 1940 से यानी के जबसे फिल्मों में संगीत शुरू हुआ तब से बहुत ही दिकगज संगीतकार रहे श्री अनिल बिस्वास । 40/50 के दशक में अग्रणीय संग्गेट कर थे अनिल बिस्वास । उन्होंने opn से भी ज्यादया फिल्मों में संगीत दिया और 800 से ऊपर गाने रिकॉर्ड किये जो कि आप जैसे संगीत ज्ञाता भली भांति परिचित है । और सभी संगीत से जुड़े जानकारों को यह भी पता है कि अनिल बिस्वास जी ने मोहमद रफी की आवाज़ का प्रयोग ना के बराबर ही किया । उनके संगीत निर्देशन में रफी ने 10 से भी कम गीत गाये । या यह बात सही है कि लता OPN ने एक भी गीत ह्यही गाया यहां रफी ने 5/6 गीत जरूर गए पर वो अनिल बिस्वास की लिस्ट में नहीं रहे । पर इस बात की चर्चा कोई नहीं करता । उल्टे इस बात को बाहर ही नही आने दिया जाता । अनिल बिस्वास ने दिलीप कुमार की कई फिल्मों का संगीत फ़िया और उसमें दिलीप कुमार का प्लेबैक तलत और मुकेश ने दिया । जब आपने लाता और OPN के episode को इतने विस्तार से cover किया है तो कभी यह भी बताएं किन कारणों से अनिल बिस्वास जी ने मुहम्मद रफी की आवाज़ का इस्तेमाल नहीं किया । अनिल बिस्वास अत्यंक्त सफल संगीतकारों में से एक थे । उनका काल नौशाद से भी पहले का है । अनिल बिस्वास और रफी के बीच क्या कुछ झगड़ा हुया था आखिर क्यों अनिल दा रफी से किनारा कियड हुए थे । कभी इसका वीडियो जरूर बनाइएगा । संगीत प्रेमियों को यह हक़ीकट भी पता लगबै चाहिए ।

The main reason reason was the love affair bw asha ji n op...he was in love with asha ji..n wanted her carrier to grow that is what happned ..asha ji left her husbands home in 1960 from there till 1973 they were in relationship. Asha is the only one who can tell us the real reason. .lets wait for her autobiography ..i would love to read that because i know it will be the most intresting autobiography of bollywood.

No need to wait for Asha Bhosle's autobiography to know the real reason of the OPN-LM dispute. All you need to do is to understand Marathi and get a copy of "Gaaé chalaa ja" by Shirish Kanekar, a film jounalist. In the chapter entitled "सूरश्री स्वरांच्या वनात" it is LM herself who gives the real reason for her "misunderstanding" with OPN.

True.Only she can explain everything re.sibling love-hate relationship, relationship with OP,RD & others .She once said that RD wanted her not to sing for OP during his later days-as his magic was vanishing after arrival of RD.She remained with RD till his death

@@PLDB27 Think Asha's version given earlier asking her who's d new music director OP. Lata's version of sinus problem is unacceptable as she could have informed him or Pancholi accordingly. OP was a disciplinarian as he fired Rafi also for late coming from SJ's delayed recording. Also SJ & SD for many years did not take Lata & made songs with Asha,Mubarak Begum,Suman Kalyanpur,Sharada

Asha had moved with her son Anand Bhosale.. When RD died he was alone n his servant made the first call to RD close friend Gulshan Bawra.. This was told by gulshan bawras wife in one of rhe video..

आप की बात से मैं सहमत हूँ…, मेरा फिर भी मानना है ऐसे बोहोत सारे गाने सरवस्वती माँ के गाए हुए हैं, जो आशा जी बख़ूबी गा लेती, लेकिन आशा जी के अनगिनत गाने ऐसे हैं जो सिर्फ़ आशा जी ही निभा सकती हैं, एक खूबसूरत सा उदाहरण अगर दूँ तो “मेरी नज़र है तुझपे”, जिसमें आशा जी ने दोनो क्लासिकल और पाश्तचय ढंग से कितना खूबसूरत गाया। और एक उदाहरण जहां, दोनो बहनो ने पड़ोसन का गाना साथ में गाया था “ मैं चली मैं चली” , आशा जी मेरे कानो को कुछ ज़्यादा ही अच्छी लगी। और एक शिकायत मेरी ये भी थीं , की जब दो लड़कियाँ, या तीन लड़कियाँ फ़िल्म में हो, पूरा गाना लता जी को ही दिया जाता था , मिसाल के तौर पे, “ अमर अकबर ऐन्थॉनी”, मेल सिंगेरस तीन थे, मगर फ़ीमेल बस एक लता जी 😟, वो गाना था “ हम को तुमसे हो गया है प्यार “…., याद होगा आपको ☝️😀… सोशल मीडिया उस जमाने में नही था, वरना हमे और भी आवाज़ें सुनने को मिलती ……🕉🙏🏼🙌🏼🔱

The reason behind lataji and op nayar sahab not singing for him is quiet different rather than your saying but still I feel op nayyar at that time was great without taking lata who was in her peak and still given us such melodious songs without her voice in that era but still I both admire them for what they have contributed to hindi cinema, hats off to them, individual differences does not kownt, but music and singers
