As I understand it, this piece was commissioned for a Catholic university choir, in their efforts to further the National Eucharistic Revival in 2022-2024. Music like this does such a perfect job at making the mystery of the Eucharist just as tangible and clear as it is unfathomable. These harmonies truly make the text come to life, and make the reality of this "Sacred Banquet" knowable to all who hear it.
