It's not always "considerate" to lie under this circumstance. Some of us wouldn't rather _feel good_ if it means believing a false reality. I think it's very inconsiderate to put my feelings first when you know _I_ don't. At least give me a _choice_ in how to react to things. Just admit that you're lying because Evelyn is toxic and isn't worth the hassle.
Wasn’t Alan and Charlie abused emotionally and mentally by their mother their entire life? Not to mention Alan’s continued suffering at the hands of alimony by his wife? Nothing says misogyny like being abused by women. Granted, Charlie is a pig but that’s rather obvious
