The Administration for Community Living (ACL) hosted a webinar on Title III/VI Coordination. This webinar is the third in a Back-to-Basics webinar series which coincides with the implementation of the updated Older Americans Act (OAA) regulations. Tribal leaders, State Unit on Aging (SUA), area agency on aging (AAA), and Title VI program staff were especially encouraged to attend.

This webinar was held to support aging network entities in their implementation of the OAA final rule relating to expectations for collaboration and coordination between programs for all older adults and caregivers, specifically those for Native American, Alaska Natives, and Native Hawaiian elders and caregivers. This webinar outlines key requirements of grantees as partners in carrying out the mission of the OAA.
It covers topics including: (1) Reasons to coordinate; (2) Responsibilities of SUAs, AAAs, and Title VI grantees for coordination; (3) Coordination for local emergency management and disaster preparedness, response, and recovery; (4) Policy and procedure requirements; and (5) Best practices for coordination.
