Rainbow Drive In opened in 1961. I was born and raised in that area. I remember going there the week it opened. We walked there all the time....we lived close and easier than my dad finding parking. Hasn't changed much....still ono food. My sister worked at Leonard's in HS...of course always was excited when she got home.

So glad you stopped at Leonard's. That place is remarkable. My wife and I went to Hawaii on our honeymoon and we went to a lot of these places, of course recommended by many. She went to college at HPU. One place we stumbled upon, which is close to Giovanni"s, is Killer Taco's. We walked in and it looked like a Hawaiin Chipotle. We were blown away how good it was. Cannot wait to go back one day.

Love you two!!!! Love that you two spend so much time in my home, Hawaii. You have to try my families poke shop, kahiau jerky, poke, and provisions in china town. Next time you guys are in Hawaii, right near the airport. Signature cold ginger poke is the winner!
