Hey guys. Our family has been following the adventure since the beginning. Rather than make a suggestion, I will simply encourage you all to keep up the hunt and our family will continue watching with the hope your efforts will be rewarded. I have grown up with the legend, being from the south shore Nova Scotia, and have gone there several times. You do feel something when you cross the causeway. The history of the island is powerful in both the legend of the treasure and the search to discover its location. We appreciate what you guys are trying to achieve. Good luck and stay safe!

i agree Louise. i love how marty respects his older bro rick & how they get on so well. i remember my brother and i watching this and commenting how we both felt about each other. he was not only my brother but my best friend too. i adored my little brother and he died in my arms on oct 16, 2016. my life has been non existent ever since that day and i'm so fucking depressed now. xxx

Amazing season. Haters gonna hate that they never find anything, but this show isn't just about finding the treasure, it's about uncovering the history on Oak Island and they did a phenomenal job! The treasure is just a bonus reward if found. I think it's already been found and they're just finding pieces to the puzzle.

I enjoy the enthusiasm of the Lagina brothers and investors. The fact that Dan Blankenship is still alive and living on the island is remarkable after he worked and labored so intensely over the years plus he seems to have all mental faculties. l'd love to visit with him just to help comfort him in his remaining days. Anyway, his son Dave does absolutely nothing for me, not that I matter! I am turning 60 yrs old this year and I will not forget reading that same article from the Readers Digest all those years ago and thoughts about it kept resurfacing in my mind for years! I am so excited for you guys! Rick and Marty come from my era because they sure know how to wear their Levi's ! just right and Damn looking ever so Sexy in them!!

Now that there are several holes bored, what not return to the dye method. Before it was pored in ten x and looked for along the shore line. Why not put a few different colors one in each of the holes and then add some water to each hole to increase water volume. Put a "cap" on each hole and add minimum pressure like 10 or 20 pounds to see if any of the holes water interconnects or pushes dye to the cove or swamp.

The French military connection sure connects alot of the factors.. the engineering necessary, mining, the name of Ductiurche (I can't spell- but the French man buried at louisburg), the amount of manpower required all working together. So much going on there that it doesn't seem likely for a pirate captain to have those levels of resources.. Btw. I think it's great seeing you all work together. There's something nice to just see that in a family..

Fabulous programme..... can I just say that the lead cross that you found with the sq hole......I think the raised lines on the front is a copy of the flood tunnels with the five drain fingers and the long tunnel and the square hole represents where the treasure pit is..it’s a copy of Nolan’s cross , and the lead cross is like a map......

We pray that Fred Nolin will guide you for the next year.CAN NOT WAIT for you guys to come back next season. I wish the would not be the season final show. For sure there is something in the swamp. Considering all the gold that has been found and mined in that area ,has anyone considered that the box drains may have actually been an older type of gold sluice similar to the ones used today but using the coconut fibers as the matting to catch the fine gold when running any soil through them and using the salt water and tides to run them ,storing it securely in the money pit.?just another idea to ponder considering all the weird metal readings, may have also ben a mine itself.Gold/silver/lead?just a thought. Dan

How close is the carbon dating of the coconut fibers found at Smith's cove compared to the carbon dating of the round piece of wood on last night's episode? Are they within 100 years or so? Or is it a longer span of time?

Hindsight is always 20/20 but it seems that if you were starting this project all over again you might have considered doing several things differently. 1. Perform a detailed ground search of the entire island to find whatever artifacts might exist on the surface. 2. Perform a search of the entire island with metal detection equipment to identify where shallow sub-surface artifacts might exist. 3. Perform a search of the entire island with other available technology such as lidar, ground penetrating radar, etc. which might indicate additional anomalies. 4. Perform excavation of test pits in areas where clusters of potential artifacts are indicated by 2 and 3. At the completion of 4 you would have a more much more detailed understanding of the historical use of the island and a better idea of where to search for deeper man made artifacts/structures. 5. Drill a series of borings down to bedrock at some regular grid layout (maybe 8' x 8' or 10' x 10') in areas which appear to have higher probability of success based on the results of items 1-4 and reliable historical information. Hopefully you would now have better information on whether or not to spend the really big bucks on the heavy equipment now on site. I suspect you may feel that you have already performed items 1-5 but it seems like you have spent a lot of time and money chasing old rumors and clues which have led to dead ends. I think a more methodical and thorough process would have allowed you to focus your efforts on the areas with the highest probability of success. Anyways good luck on your search.

have you not considered blowing air into the bore holes that you are creating or the existing ones? by doing this you could see if in fact the bore holes are connected to Smith's coves or wherever the sea water is being supplied from.

It seems the most significant finds have been with simple metal detectors. The entire island needs to be systematically and meticulous swept. There's probably so much just a few inches deep all over the island that would yield significant new information.

if you try to pressurize one of the holes, before you increase the pressure to force the water out, pump drilling gel beads down into the water just before. then pressure up, forcing the drilling beads to go with the water and when they expand it should seal of the drainage, at least for a while, so you do not have to work in a pressurized area..........

Also I see on Google Earth that the Island just to the North East also has what looks like a matching swap but smaller like Oak Islands. Being a former shipyard worker, those swaps now look look like the could have been 'dry docks' of sorts in the past to me. Keep ships safe for keepsake and upkeep of the ships. Take a look for yourself on Google Earth, pull back so you can see both islands. ... and that small island between them with the long sandbar handle, excellent ship tie off point.

I would also add the story of the brother's should be a beacon today for families sometimes torn apart because of family. The GAL 1 excavation and the storyline behind it is the true value here.I know Dave wants the spendable items but the Devotion to father comes thru also. I am curious as to whether there has been an examination as to how the pit and flood system were built by modern engineers? if this was built with shovels and axes, what a feat to accomplish at the time it was built! how did they know where the existing water table was? how did they align the flood tunnel with the money pit? how would they shut off the system if they planned to retrieve their treasure? so many questions on the engineering of such an amazing system!

Looking at Google Earth of Oak Island, just south of the were the 'old' road turns 90* North next to the money pit. There is a 'round' spot in the water. And looks to have some beach around it. Any idea's on what that is? Any time I've ever dug a hole it turns out round at some point. And that looks like a man made dug hole to me. Could that be the water inlet to the money pic trap's?

It would seem to me they should be using ROVs with sonar, radar, and thermal scanning capabilities to to get a pretty good idea of what lies hidden in the submerged accessible areas... I think it would save time, money and risk....

Put a DOME over the hole and pressureize it with a couple of high volumn rotary Air Compressors. It will show where the air is escaping and give a dry place to decend

A few years ago, I was on vacation with my family and my nephew struck up a conversation with a guy that was wearing a Free Mason's hat. He said the was in the Masons at some high rank. "OAK ISLAND" was already on the air and almost as if a joke, my nephew asked if the Ark of the Covenant was there. Without missing a beat, he replied, "It was there at one time but not any more." Needless to say we were stunned and when we tried to get more information from him, he became very tight lipped. It is very interesting that inside "Nolan's Cross" that they found evidence (more rock formations) of the ancient 10 Hebrew Laws that are deemed holy. And they could have marked the actual spot where the covenant was.

Air pressure would push water out and make the tankcar frame better.

LP high volume air compressor would put water out an let you weld repairs and move down deeper. With the water gone it would be better to see what is there.

When something is found and that pays for their equipment rental, etc all the costs thus far... then more exploring can be paid for in the future. I wouldn't stop at one place, check out the whole island. I think there is more there than the initial money pit.

I wonder if filling the pit with filtered water would help visibility ?

I would like to see you guys try ground freezing to stop the water from coming in. Is that viable option?

Marty Wickstrom What about a Well Point system?

That might work too. But if you ground freeze its much safer to send in a man.

You have the shape of Oak Island and it matches the shape of that other place. Where was the treasure on the other island and why wouldn't it be in the same place on Oak Island?

I would put an air tight cap on the 3 foot drill tube and see what the water level in the hole does.
