I'm pretty happy with this year's Halloween display. I didn't have any big project builds this year, but I added a lot of small improvements and new animation to the scenery that really made it come alive this year.
Those tombstones! I knowthey aren't new this year, but boy, they are beautiful!! Adding the skelly on the chimney is perfect. The fog really made it look real!😲
Your yard looks FANTASTIC! Props are very realistic. Love the spider’s movement…I watched your videos on the build. I also wanted to thank-you personally for your insights on the mister/fogger! I made it and it rocks! Thanks again
The perfect combination of gorgeous and creepy! This is the level that I aspire to. Love watching your videos, especially during the Halloween "off season"!
The lay-out is amazing, the low lying fog just brings it all together perfectly. The props are so well thought out and the build quality is next to none. The projection of the spiders coming out of the hanging corpse/egg sac, that's Hollywood level. Were you ever a Disney Imagineer?
This looks fantastic! Watching your videos has reinvigorated my haunting. Everything is so lovingly detailed and carefully appointed. The movement on the witch and spider look great. Your fog looked so good I built one for this year. Man what a treat to watch!
Well, MOSTLY homemade. I have a few things that are bought, then modified, like the spider on the roof. There are 2 or 3 tombstones that I bought, then modified as well.
Very cool. Wish I could do something similar, unfortunately I live in an area with strong winds and many of your props would possibly be damaged or even destroyed at my house. Every blue moon, Halloween night cooperates and the winds are low and the rain holds off, then I can get my fog machines and animatronics out for a show. Most years it is just some skellies and tombstones though.
We didn't get the time to get what we needed for Halloween 2023 what we do have is what we have now but next year I will have enough money saved up to get what we don't have for this year's Halloween. Bugger that because I was looking forward to going all out for Halloween decorations this year not including spiders and spiderwebs that is. But next year's Halloween I will be able to.
Not for that particular one. It's just a foam ball with ping pong balls, marbles, and assorted foam balls glued to it, then spray painted white and dabbed with stain. I made it in a hurry from whatever I had lying around years and years ago when I needed one quick for the first spider web setup I did. I did make some larger ones from stretch wrap, latex and foam balls that there is a tutorial on. They are pretty easy and cheap to make. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qpb5rMn3Ne8.htmlsi=oa3Wu7r9Ph5fBPmG
Awesome display! Nice work! I am new to this hobby and hoping you could help a little. We have almost the identical setup: titan pro 1800 with 12 head mister. Our current issues are too much fog and seepage from our cooler box. I am creating a gasket to help solve the seepage issue, but thinking maybe the huge amount of fog produced from the titan pro may also be contributing to the problem??? I was wondering what settings you use for output volume along with the interval time??? Thanks in advance
From what I'm seeing in other peoples various builds, the bigger the fog machine is, the bigger the box needs to be to accommodate the fog. You want to box to fill, then slowly be moved out by the blower. Too much blower speed will suck all of the mist out of the box before the fog can mix. I set my titan 1200 for a 10 second blast every 2 minutes. I get thic fog flowing from the tube for about a minute after the fogger stops so I wind up having about 1 minute of pause between flows of fog.
Always one of my top favorites to watch. Question: the rooms with the projections on the windows. Do you just not use those rooms for a month or do have a method that doesn't allow room lights to ruin the projections?
I use a mirror to reverse project the show so the setup only takes up 1/2 of our living room and we can still walk through without interrupting the show. We normally only use that room if we have company visit. We spend most of our time in the family room where the tv and computers are. I keep the lights off and hang blankets over the doorway to our kitchen and family rooms to block the lights from them. Its a bit of an inconvenient mess, but not too bad.
Yes. I make a couple of new ones each year to add to the display. I do have a couple of store bought ones that I've modified to be thicker and more realistic looking, but 95% of the tombstones were made by me. Some of the very first ones I made are pretty bad. lol I need to redo them now that I've gotten better.
@@OakLaneCemeterythanks for the response. Gosh they look great. Everything looks great here. I bet your grateful for the woods to the right of your home.
The main ground fog machine is a Titan 1200 being ran through an ultrasonic fog chiller box. I use a little cheapo fog machine from Spirit for the cauldron creep's bone cauldron, and a small 3 head ultrasonic mister for the witch's cauldron.
