Thanks for this video Rob!! a ton of law enforcement working night shifts are using low light lenses at night not only for the eye protection, but because it helps with bright glare from headlights, vehicle mounted lights and other glare. Cant beat the price of $60.00 for the replacement lenses of these for the protection.

Yellow glasses i bought from other brand let 80% thru. And my diabetes messed up my eyes where any white light is like 10% brighter then normal. Its a huge deal. I have to turn my contrast on TV down like from middle setting to 10 settings lower. And car headlights when i go to work at 4am in the morning all look like high beams for me now. So these are a must get if they let 75% in versus the 80% of current shades. I personally wish someone made a 65% or 70% lens, because i just know that would be more perfect for my eyes. I'll try to do research and find out if theres any lens at that percentage. Appreciate the video. ✌️

Thanks for videos they have helped greatly. Have become a fan of the oakleys maybe 3 pairs include the holbrook. Mainly wanted the non-polarized lenses to wear riding motorcycles. Can't see thru windshields with polarized. Ruby and Saphire iridiums are really good. Maui Jim perhaps a little like holbrook ruby but they were polarized. Interesting llow light lens.

Hey man, great video and explanations. THANKS! One Q...yellow lenses have been the tradition for night. Any comparison / difference / recommendation?
@sportrxeyewear
@sportrxeyewear 3 месяца назад
Good question! Even though with any tint, you’re blocking the amount of light able to reach your eyes, yellow lenses are typically known to Brighten (for lack of a better term)low lit areas and environments. However they don’t provide much contrast. Compared to prism low light that utilizes a rose based tint combine with prism technology, and you’ll instantly notice that why you achieve that same level of brightness you also get better contrast, definition and distinction in your field of view. Ultimately personal preference, but we’ve been loving the Prizm low light as of late.

Hello ! I choose prescription lenses with diopters. For indoor home. For running, cycling, walking. In clear and cloudy weather. Watching TV at home. what lenses do you recommend for oakley flack 2.0 xl???
@sportrxeyewear
@sportrxeyewear 2 месяца назад
Good question! With Oakley's lenses, choose a transitions brown for added contrast on the bike and around town but will revert to clear when indoors. Also consider SportRx's Day&Night Contrast lens from the Sport Optimized Collection which includes a brown Transitions Xtractive lens that get's darker than a standard Transitions lens. This should cover you all day for multiple lighting conditions into the night.

Greetings! It's a sick frame with tons of stylistic elements. Very lightweight, and the titanium temples and nosepads add a touch of luxury to the design. Obviously its not the best choice for active wear, but a very unique and bold design for leisure settings.

I am using low light as prescription lenses in my plazma for bike riding. I think the colors look cold and when I take the glasses off it looks orange and warm. Just like when you change the color temperature setting on your tv. Does anyone else have this feeling? Shouldn’t it be the other way round?

Hi Rob, you mentioned that it's a rose base. Is it similar to the FL-41 migraine lenses?
@sportrxeyewear
@sportrxeyewear 6 месяцев назад
Hello! Yes, it's somewhat similar but with a higher VLT percentage letting more light pass through the lens, making it a great option for very low-light settings and even at night.

HI! The official name is Prizm Low-light and is available in Rx with most Oakley sunglass frames. It's not yet listed on the SportRx website (coming soon), but this lens can be ordered through an optician over the phone or chat: www.sportrx.com/

@sportrxeyewear 6 месяцев назад
Hi! The Prizm Low Light has a very high VLT percentage (75%), but without ambient light available it may still prove too dark for hunting. But if there's some available light within the surrounding area, then it may prove beneficial.

@sportrxeyewear

Hello! It depends somewhat on your sensitivity to bright light, your preferred tint type, the light conditions you typically drive under, and what landscape you frequently travel through. Some people like a polarized lens to eliminate glare from surfaces in your field of view, while others prefer non-polar. If the lighting conditions fluctuate and you want 1 lens to do it all, consider one with a vlt percentage in the 15-30% range. Check out the Prizm Road, Dark Golf, and Ruby. For bright conditions, take a look at Prizm Road Black, Tungsten, or Sapphire.

Hi! You may experience some eyestrain depending on your level of sensitivity to bright light, but you'll still have excellent protection and contrast. It's a great option for those who prefer a clear or nearly clear lens over a deep tinted or mirrored lens while cycling.

@SportRX Hi, I tried looking at your website but could not find any glasses with the Prizm Low Light lens. Can I just order the Prizm Low Light lens by itself but not prescriptioned? What Oakley sunglasses is the lens available for? Because I own regular Oakley Holbrooks, HSTN, Latch (Round), Reedmace, Clifden and Enduro. I also checked on the Oakley website & they do mot sell the lens by itself and only about 3 frames are available with the prizm low light lenses.
@sportrxeyewear
@sportrxeyewear 6 месяцев назад
Hello! Yes, the Prizm Low Light lens can be ordered for most current sunglass models. However, it will still fall under Rx pricing even though it won't have any corrective power. The order must also be placed over the phone (or chat feature) with an optician. Give us a call to get started! 877.289.2999

Nope! Only if you require prescription lenses do we need a valid Rx from the Dr. For Plano (non Rx) orders, no official script is necessary.

@sportrxeyewear
@sportrxeyewear 6 месяцев назад
HI Scott! The lens is identified as 'Prizm Low Light', but it's only offered in prescription for some models when you customize through the site (See Flak 2.0 XL). However, we can customize an Rx order for any Oakley sunglass frame with Prizm Low Light when you call in (or online chat) with a licensed optician. There are currently only a couple of Oakley models with Shield lens designs that offer the Low Light option in Plano (non Rx) like the Radar EV Path, Corridor, and Encoder. 877.289.2999/ info@sportrx.com
