Oakville G2 Road Test (Route 1 out of 2) - Full Route & Tips on How to Pass Your Driving Test 

Hi Evgeniy, I would like to thank you for posting these videos. They've helped me a lot! Today I passed my G2 Exam! really feel accomplished and my life is about to change. I can finally help out my parents and mom in law to bring them to places safely and conveniently especially with their medical appointments. I'm so happy that I've been speechless all day that I almost cried after the examiner said that I passed lol My examiner was a godsend. He was professional at his job, I sensed some strictness in his voice but meaning to help me better in the future. We took Route #1 but there was a change in the residential area and went to a different path - all the same really I just paid more attention to the new surrounding. I've made a few errors and felt that I was a goner but I kept good speed and did my mirror checks and dramatic movements as required. However, what truly saved the exam was my flawless reverse parking hehe good thing I practiced that a lot 😅 but my best advice to people reading this is: don't let your guard down and trust in your own skills. Don't show nervousness and do not be cocky either, just remember that whether you pass or fail it is for a reason. God has a plan for us all, no matter your religion or who you believe in. Thank you for making this video! 😊 watched this a couple of times & practiced on this road & I passed my g2 on the first try. I took the same way, but I turned right on a different residential area. No parallel parking, but I was asked to do reverse parking at the centre. Test was very easy and fast. Make sure to check ur blind spot & don’t go over the speed limit. Best of luck !

I had a very good experience at this test location. My test was last week. You check in on your own using the machine and then go back sit in the car and wait for examiner. My examiner was very polite and very kind. He gave very clear instructions. My route is route 1 but my test was very short. They were running way behind on all the road tests that day so I had to wait 1 hour and 15 minutes in my car before the examiner walked up to me. I drove for about 7-8 minutes in total. I was not asked to do parallel park. Just had to do 3 point turn, uphill parking and couple of lane changes. Finally did reverse parking ( I made adjustments twice... was not a one shot parking). I passed the test. Overall a very smooth experience

I passed my G2 test today (snow and all)! Your video was really helpful! My test was on this route, but I made a right turn to Valhalla Court to enter a residential area where I did uphill parking, parallel parking and of course, 3-point turn. Back at the test center, I was asked to do front parking, instead of reverse. Test took a bit longer (around 15 mins), because I had to slow down in some areas since there was snow on the road and some other obstacles. Listen well to the instructions, be respectful to the examiner, make sure to switch lanes when necessary and observe the posted speed limit.

I passed the driving test after seeing this video like 20 times, I knew everything I had to do on driving test day including where are the stops.....thank you so much

My kid passed the G2 road test, thanks for your tips. The route used was: left on Wyecroft, left on Bronte Rd, left on Waterford St, right on Trevor Dr, then some more side roads (examiner asked my kid to do downhill parking, 3-pt turn), after that, back to DriveTest and do a reverse parking.

this video was great thanks so much. i watched it last night and had my test today and passed easily. i’m not sure the examiners name but he may be the examiner in the video, now that i’m listening again. he was very kind and had a calm demeanour the entirety of the test which helped me stay calm and complete it. i did 3 point turn, uphill parking, no parallel parking and reverse parked when i got back to the centre (which he let me adjust multiple times). whole thing took 10 minutes and he even said my right turns were too wide but he let it slide.

Yay just passed my g2 road test, took route 1. I did get marks taken off because I stayed in the left lane on Wyecroft approaching Bronte, so make sure u stay in the right lane and then move to the left. Also instead of Waterford I turned on Wyatt street which has a posted speed limit of 40. Make sure ur three point turn is not slow as I also got marks taken off because of that. Other than that, pretty straightforward route and it’s super quick I was done in like 7 mins!

Had my G2 Road Test at Oakville location at the end of Dec 2022. This was the route, except mine was much shorter where I had to make a right turn on Valhalla Court. This is the residential area where I did uphill parking and a three point turn back to the driving test centre. The parking lot was extremely busy, I had to do a reverse parking in one of the tight spots (TIP: practice parking between two cars at some point when you get comfortable as you may have to do it). The entire test probably took less than 10 minutes all together. Try your best not to feel pressured if, for example, the examiner kept talking or gave you basic instructions/mentioned some remarks while driving. They just want to see how exactly you would react driving under normal day-to-day conditions. I was anxious, but I maintained my composure and tried my best to focus on the road. Safety comes first in all conditions- if you follow the speed limit, left and right signals when needed, eye on road signs, blind spots with exaggeration of head movements, checking mirrors every 10 or so seconds to scan the area and cars, then you should be fine.* Overall, thank you for this video, Evgeniy and friend instructor. It gave me an idea where I was going to drive and familiarized me with the area, signs, and turning points. Great for the visual conception of it.

Thank you for these videos! They helped boost my confidence and contained valuable info! I previously held a G license, since 1990, but it expired just before Covid hit. I went to renew it in March and was just past the 3 year mark, so I have to do the graduated licensing process, but can do each test without the waiting period that first time drivers are subject to. I have not driven in Canada in years because since 2015 I lived in the DR, so I drove there until my driver's license expired but could not renew it as I needed to do the vision test and I was not in Canada. Therefore it has been a few years since I have driven, but thankfully it is like riding a bike and you don't forget, lol, but you do pick up bad habits. I failed the G1 on my first attempt because I did not read up on G1 and G2 licensing rules, they were not around when I did my learner's permit many moons ago, lol, but I did pass it on my second attempt! Today I did the G2 road test with only one day of practice in years, done about 4 days before my test. I PASSED! The tester was laid back and personable so that definitely helped relax me. We turned right when we left the center so I was fully expecting to turn right on Third Line but surprisingly the tester told me to turn left. We then proceeded to Kings College Dr, turned left, then turned left on Giles Gate, and then left on the second Brays Lane. I was told to park like it was uphill. Then we drove around the corner where I was told to do a 3 point turn. Then we returned to the center and I was told to reverse park between two cars on the right, which I did not do in one shot, but only had to correct my direction once. No parallel parking for this test, thank goodness! Good luck everyone else that is ready to take the test. Just relax and follow the rules of the road and the tips in these videos!

Today I had G2 test at Oakville and passed, thanks a lot for your videos. Mine was route 1 and did pull over parking, three point turn and finally back to center ending with a reverse parking. I had two mistakes: 1. forgot to put left signal just while leaving the drive test center at the beginning 2. While pulling over forgot to show signal to the right Please Note: after coming back, I was asked to turn right for reverse parking at the right, but the parking lot was UPHILL. So while reversing just backing will not work you have to push Gas and please be careful while pushing Gas in Uphill. For me it was giving sudden jerks as I never did uphill reverse parking so wasn’t sure how much to push. While pulling over he asked for uphill parking. And later advised that before applying parking brake, first check with NEUTRAL whether uphill or downhill or flat and then put parking brake and turn wheels. Another suggestion he gave: after turning into a road, if you need to change lane to right, change within 5 seconds or as safe, don’t late. All the best everyone.!

I failed for not doing this 8:14 kinda. Examiner did not only not tell me, he said to keep going straight. and why do you HAVE to you might be asking, I was told it is only suggested for people learning to drive to keep on the right lane. But in this case you have to because after the coming light (Speers) the left lane becomes a turning lane as you will see, and the Keep RIght street sign is easy to miss 9:43 (which I did), the biggest give away is the actual arrows on the road that follow the street sign after Speers. In my case I stayed on the left lane on Bronte the whole time and the Examiner never told me to turn left on Waterford, like he does in this video, so lane ended and I was stuck trying to merge right on the Waterford intersection. I eventually finished my route turning to the right so don't assume they will take you the same way as this video. And to be safe, keep to the right lane. He was very nice though. he said even if I did not immediately change lane it would have been fine, but missing the sign and the arrows on the road was the big factor.

I highly recommend this location for your G2 and i passed in my fielrst attempt.This was very useful video. I guess Route 2 is for G driver liscence and route 1 is for G2 . I was told to do paraller parking,three point turn,uphill parking and in last just the front parking.

Hi. At 7:57, if the instructor does not say anything, do you have to enter the left lane but then switch to the right because the right lane in this case is the lane of least resistance?

However I have a doubt, I am planning to take G test using my car, so should I have to turn off the blind spot monitoring system, lane keep assist, reverse camera during the road test even though I will be doing shoulder check on every turns. Awaiting your thoughts on this. Will they fail the road test if these technologies are on?

I have my g2 road test in a week. I went to the area to practice. And jus to be clear. In the residential area it is 50km/h right? Because it felt fast while I was driving in the area. But I wanna just make sure so I don’t go to slow or to fast while doing the test

Today I failed my G road test in Oakville, examiner neither took me on route 1 or route 2...she took me to a totally new route.....and also she fkin asked me to pull over with the fire hydrant immediately after a trafic signal, I stopped the car after 3 meters of fire hydrant, but she said that why you didn't obey what I said.....secondly she failed me by saying that your lane change on highway was aggressive and also you did hard brakes sometimes.....I made total 18 mistakes on my G test....from which she put 5 to 6 mistakes from herself, whi it I never did.....she was totally a bit***.....at the end of test she asked me to park on side of drive test building, rather into a parking space.
