Possible Leaks in Your Oase Biomaster Thermo Series Canister Filter. I have two of the 350 series that have leaked where the neater goes into the opening. Watch this over time. The Gasket can fail.

Thanks for the heads up George on the leakage issues with these canister filters. I have these exact canisters filters & am getting ready to have brand new flooring put in.

I have found they are slow leaks and should be watched carefully. I have placed a small tray under the filter to watch for such leaks. This gives you time to inspect and replace seals. The problem with this filter is that the seals are wearing out in a short time or could be defective.

I always periodically seal all O rings and Gaskets with a bit of petroleum jelly. I also place mine inside a plastic storage tub as a way to grab any dripping that might become noticeable. It does make gurgling noises but those mostly diminish when I remove the aftermarket skimmer attachment at the intake.

Same exact issue. Love the filter concept but dislike the craftsmanship. Definitely have a water detector near it. Additionally, very low water flow of about 80 GPH. Piggybacked a vectra pump on the outflow to increase weak water flow due to inadequate impeller design. Give me about 140 GPH

@aquaticconceptsbringingwaterto nice to know, thanks. I just got a thermo 350. Maybe it would make sense to replace that seal every 1 to 2 years as regular maintenance for us
