2005 was a great year for British music, you had massive hits from Coldplay, Oasis, KT Tunstall, Sugababes, Craig David, Lemar, Simon Webbe, Stereophonics, Feeder, James Blunt, Kaiser Chiefs plus the emergence of the Arctic Monkeys and Take That reforming.
The words "take that reforming" and "great year for British music" should never be in the same statement together. Lol jk much love - Fuck Take That tho
For me, 2005 was Oasis at their best. They’d achieve legendary status and come back after a few dud albums to prove they weren’t confined to just BritPop. Don’t Believe The Truth is a brilliant album.
I don't think any if I albums are duds. I've recently started to collect them all. Be here now and Masterplan are really ingenious albums. But Heathen Chemistry is now my favourite in 2022, all these years later. So many great songs on their entire list.
@@selnor1983 Come on better than the first three. They where better than good back then, there Bsides even piss all over heathen chemistry, although stop crying your heart out and little by little wouldn’t look out of place on Masterplan.
@@DB-qj5kt genuinely. I love all the albums for different reasons. Recently picked up Heathen Chemistry on Vinyl. It's such a great album. Songbird reminds me of The Beatles. Force of Nature is a great song. There isn't a song I don't like on the album to be honest.
such a difference in the way the two bands act. Chris Martin just looks like he's insecure and tries too hard to be quirky/carefree whereas Oasis genuinely don't give a shit so they just look really cool
"why is your brother in a fight with him" noel: he's not, hes just being liam ...lol I like the way noel protects his brother, even tho he knows liam is such a twat sometimes, but he loves him. that shit is priceless!
Coldplay are the epitome of commercial rock, Oasis are anything but. For Coldplay to be the most commercially successful band of the 21st century they had to pander to media demands, and did so while being polite. Oasis didn't pander to anyone and did as they pleased. They didn't give a fuck about anyone hence are probably the last honest rock band.
i'm argentinian and i will prefer all my life the british music, Coldplay and Oasis are great bands, but oasis.... they are my life♥ nothing compares with them
***** coldplay are actually not offensive. they joke around a lot and just act that way for fun, esp in acceptance speeches. but, believe me, in concerts, interviews, and outside of award ceremonies, they are the most humble, down to earth people ever! trust me !
+Toby Stone I think you hit the nail on the head - "nice guys" don't make great rockstars or artists...you won't find people accusing Nick Cave or Lou Reed of being "nice guys" and yes, I know he's dead
Their last album Dig Up Your Soul(08)was their best performing album in the U.S since 97’s Be Here Now. It sucks they broke up at a big point in their life… ughh
@@vilamor007 hahaha I hate x factor with a passion, I guess I was padantic really as they are not virtuoso instrumental players, but being a musician doesn't particularly mean being a great Instrumental player I guess, my mistake.
@MrRNM1945 It's just good to see Coldplays distracting us from other bad music, their doing a good job with what they do...Which is being free minded and amazing!
And seeing noel defending liam here, i just can't believe that oasis is breaking up just because a fight, imo there are no fight, they're just tired and want to try something new, both of them, still loving their music to this day i think noel and liam are both great musician chris martin also
I love both American and British music, the 60's was all about the British invasion and was the best decade for British music and bands in general. What i find amazing about England is the size of it compared to America and what its produced, its crazy how England are so good , WHY?
Oh my God , Wow 2005 really . Oh my goodness . Coldplay , Jonny oh my my . You are soso handsome . Oh my God . Where was my head ,in BBQ sauce thank . I Love Coldplay !!!
Whenever Liam opens his mouth the room fills with laughter lol im not sure why "alright whos first?" Is funny but what a country of happy jolly people lol
"We may be the best act in the world today but we might not be the best at tomorrow" As a Coldplay fan, I could not agree with Chris more on this. Coldplay is shit compared to once they what were
