Oasis - Live Forever (Glastonbury 1994) 

Gosh you know this is an old performance as Liam is still singing the "you and I are going to live forever" falsetto bit instead of Noel

That’s me there in the corner at 3.34 with a mess of blonde hair. It was a good day, a Sunday. Oasis, then Pulp later, after that; Radiohead, and then Blur at the end. All on the same stage. Scorcher too. Even though the 2nd single (Shakermaker) had only just come out, everyone around us was shouting out for B sides like Take Me Away and Spaceman. They played neither! One bit they cut out of the broadcast (originally on Channel 4) was Noel early in the set teasing the intro from Cigarettes And Alcohol then stopping after a few seconds! They played it in full later in the set, but even in those early days pre-release it was a fan favourite and the riff was becoming ‘iconic’ as they say. Great to see it again.

Actually mental the majority of the crowd don't know who they were or what they would become in the next 10/15 years. Literally witnessing the rise of greatness. What a band

Proper rock band. As soon as I landed in the UK in the summer of 1995, and heard their sound, I was hooked. The backdrop to four fantastic years in London and Oxford. Cool Britannia.

Whoever was in the crowd that day watching this performance must have felt it in their gut just how GREAT Oasis was gonna be. The look on Liam's face alone says it all - he knew. He KNEW.

I wasn’t at Glastonbury, but I was at the Knebworth concert in 1996. Used to listen to Oasis, Blur, The Farm, Happy Mondays and EMF on a mix tape I made in the car on repeat… good times…
