I don’t think Americans will ever understand the love that British people have for oasis and the music, this sound cannot be replicated anywhere outside of the uk and can only be produced from living a British working class life.
im from Mexico, but i totally understand what you said and the feeling, so its really cool! i guess every country has their band like that! also, love Oasis! grew up listening to them! Cheers Mate! jaja! or should i say, saludos carnal!
saintscott67 I can only say this. Wonderwall and Don’t look back in anger was played nonstop in my car when I got my drivers license back in 1996. What’s the story Morning Glory was the #1 album for me and mine. I’m from Florida. But yeah I got what you’re saying. Oasis is the best😉❤️👍 I miss the 90s. All the best. Stay safe. Ok maybe I don’t completely understand. Maybe I can’t because I’m not British. Sorry if I offended anyone with my posting before. Working class American is all I know. Stay safe ❤️
I just watched the Oasis documentary a couple months back and it was incredible to see just how massive they were around the world, and even though they were definitely big in the U.S., it didn't even compare to their popularity in Europe or even Japan. I'm in my late 20s, but I've loved Oasis since about 2008. Their first two albums are two of my favorites from the 90s, and honestly, definitely in my top 30 albums all time. I just wish I could've seen them at their peak
That is so crazy you say that! But it's probably true...I am from Peru south America (latino) and was brought up listening to the stones, the Beatles,Mozart, Bethoven and latin artist...we live and breathe football. Latinos love football and rock and roll and we are passionate. It's in our DNA...passion! Kinda hard to explain. But cheers mate...I dream of visiting England love Chelsea and live in California. 😉🌊🔥🌴
nachospimp also props to Chris for standing into to one of the greatest bands of all time many will probably give him stick but he deserves credit for that
Gavaller This act isn't supposed to stop terroism. It's supposed to bring people together during this hard time for all the familes who lost relatives from the attack. This is supposed to show that these attacks are not working and we are uniting together to show the terroists they can't drive us apart.
This man came to his city with his parka and tambourine when his people needed him most. Always remember this when people are trying to decide which brother remembered his roots.
Totally agree. After this I was team Liam. He was man enough to attempt to put his family issues with his brother aside and unfortunately, Noel wasn't.
I sat in my living room watching this live on TV, beer in hand, lump in throat and tears welling in my eyes. And here I am, four and a half years later, exactly the same. Live forever x
Yes without meaning to sound to sceptical but Manchester bombing and London flats fire happened at just the right time for Liam as he was just making a comeback as a solo artist and although I’m positive nobody would want to capitalise on people’s deaths but it did work well for Liam as he had that period of Liam Gallagher the people’s champion.
Liam's vocals instantly take me back to the best times of my life... 1992-1999 ... The summer festivals we had watching this Man at his at his absolute peak will never be surpassed .
Liam once said Chris looked like a "geography teacher" and didn't understand why Noel bothers with Chris. But yesterday none of it mattered. I was so glad to see them embrace!
In an interview the day after, Liam said that he takes everything back he once said about Coldplay and that they sounded great! So yes, music brings people closer together :D
it never stops amazing me how Britain become the factory of the most influential musicians on the planet. Iron Maiden, Motorhead, U2, Coldplay, Oasis, Led Zeppelin, Beatles, Rolling Stones, The Who, Joy Division, The Cure, Black Sabbath, Diamond Head, The Police, Eric Clapton, Cranberries, Phil Collins, Pink Floyd, Queen, Dire Straits, Stone Roses, Verve, Judas Priest, Deep Purple, Radiohead, Depeche Mode, the Clash, Blur, Jethro Tull, Gorillaz, Cream..............man the list just goes forever and forever. And it is only the top of the iceberg, how many great underground bands there were that we never heard of? Well done Great Britain!!!
its fucking amazing how Noel knew this. I recently started listening to their albums and they have and will definitely stand the test of time. At that time of interview, maybe people thought he was arrogant to say this ,but he definitely knew what he was talking about.
@@polycube868 They have both said that Noel wasn’t in the country at the time. Liam said it wasn’t about them that night it was about Manchester but Noel wasn’t in the country so it was impossible
@@benjones.x I agree it wasn't about them, but to be fair I think Liam wasn't in the country aswell but just made it happen, I think he had to delay a gig in Germany.
It's a lovely solo written by a guy who is not a great guitarist but it shows that you don't need to be a master like Brian May or Jeff Beck to write a great solo - it comes from the heart.
This man sings withs his heart and soul . !!! Evry single word means something. No vocal coach or fuckall.. Just pure anger . Love..hate.. And evry other aspects of the world
During the relief effort after Hurricane Sandy in 2012, he played guitar for Michael Stipe. Pretty cool moment even though R.E.M. just called it a day not long before that.
I hate & love how Liam had to turn up on his Tod and play with a band he slagged of for years. Where was Noel, where were the others. But Liam still showed up and sang for them kids who were killed, always remember that Liam showed up and sang his heart out. For me he became a real British icon for doing this. Much love x
I know he can be a prick at times but I'm a cabbie & picked up a couple from The Park Lane hotel in London a few years back. The guy was saying that they had gone up there for a meal to celebrate his wife's birthday when he noticed Liam at another table with some friends. He went up to him & said - "Sorry Liam but it's my wife's birthday. Would you mind just signing this for her? - To get his autograph. To his credit Liam said "Bring her over!" They then sat down with the guys for about 15 mins. He gave her a huge birthday kiss & sang "Happy Birthday" to her!
Incredible concert, this version has me so emotional as I lost my daughter 17 years ago to the day and in my heart she will live forever. Keep strong to all those as well who has lost someone special in this world ❤️❤️❤️
revol148 mate I’m a Manc and I’m proud to be a Manc. But I am not living in the city when I finish uni. It never stops raining and is full of scruffs, neglected by government. If any Manc had the money Liam had we’d all move away, but we still love the city we were made in.
I'm not a massive Oasis fan, but this has got to be one of THE best lives performances of not only this song but of any song... Gives me goosebumps whenever listen to it!
2'41''... i know what the blonde on the left thinks wenn she looks and lol at the other blonde on the right...''how your garden grows''...)))) d'you know what i mean..
Honestly it looks like no one was singing along but trust me, it was one of the most popular songs of the night. I think everyone was just in shock that he was there since he was a surprise guest. The moment he came on stage was one of the best moments of my life, everyone lost their shit.
hats off to jonny buckland here by the way!!! absolutely enormous guitar playing when the whole country was watching in awe!!! brilliant…liam turned up that’s all i will say!
worst this is his twitter comments he dint needs to slate noel, thats childish the focus should be on the gig and raising money not his spat with his brother
@@Alienkiwi730 I beg to differ. The Edge himself said he is incredibly proud of the fact that he inspired Jonny Buckland. If he played in any other band, he would be a legit rock icon.
I'm so gutted. I was supposed to go up to Glasgow in the Summer and see Liam with my housemates to celebrate graduation, but I can't see it happening now. Obviously, I'm super lucky that's my biggest concern, but it still sucks
James Kilgour I was meant to be seeing him at Reading at the end of August as kind of like my final thing before going to uni. Hearing the dude reel off some Oasis classics is pretty much a dream of mine. Reading isn’t officially cancelled yet but despite its late Summer date considering the UK isn’t meant to be letting pubs be open again until December I can’t imagine they’ll allow a festival in August. Fucking blows man.
What a Amazing performance from Liam gallagher and coldplay. My Dad and my brother were there waiting to pick up my brother's step son in the foyer area at the time and the Bomb went off they both served thank god I don't want anything like this to ever happen again they were really lucky to get out alive I remember that night really well and all respect's to people who last family friends and son's and daughter's that night R.I.P
Remember he call. My daughter walking into our room. 'Dad I need a lift.' NHS staff going on emergency in the late hours. Didn't see my daughter for another day, such was the response. So proud of our NHS staff.
Brings a tear to my eye every time I listen to this, this performance reestablished Liam into the music world quite beautifully,I think this is the best version of the song
