25 years since the original release, November 3rd saw the release of limited-edition collector’s formats to celebrate the silver anniversary of Oasis’ iconic album ‘The Masterplan’. Formats available include CD, cream cassette and limited-edition double vinyl formats (heavyweight silver, green and black marble and black LPs). The new formats feature remastered audio, taken from the ‘Chasing The Sun’ reissues - available for the first time as one collection.

@@paperlateful I love the Beatles, but the more research I do into them, I’m dubious as to whether or not they wrote all of their early material (63-66). George Martin described them early on after meeting them as “not overly impressive songwriters and average musicians”. They claim they didn’t write much music between albums while touring, and then suddenly would go into the studio and magically pump out legendary records like Rubber Soul (write, arrange, rehearse, record) in the span of under a month. Personally I’m not buying it.

@@timetowakeup6302 We also arrived at the posthumous conspiracy about the Beatles, as if behind their success there was " a great oldman" who coulisse have been George Martin or Phil Spector. Your analysis is interesting, without forgetting the subsequent personal successes after the breakup

@@paperlateful I don’t doubt that they each had their talents. Clearly they could sing and play, and write. And they got better as the years progressed. I don’t dispute that. I do however believe they had a LOT of help in the early years. A bunch of early 20 somethings, going from doing mostly cover songs in the early 60’s, then becoming the best songwriting duo (Lennon/McCartney) in pop music history within the span of a few years, writing DEEP material, seems far fetched. But that’s just me. I love me a good conspiracy. 😜

To my friend Conor Flanagan who used to get me to play this on guitar for him in treatment in Dublin, Ireland, omg how he loved this song! He left treatment early and died of a heroin overdose, this is over 20 years ago now but this song always reminds me of him. See u again someday my friend ❤
