@@BAKABAKA23456789the podcast had a really interesting discussion about kingmaking actually, their general consensus was it makes you look like a dick, so dont
@@BAKABAKA23456789If you're gonna lose anyway, the respectful thing to do would be to not interfere. It would be different if there was some small chance of him Opting or Considering into an instant speed ritual that generates 3UU, but no such ritual exists.
@@BAKABAKA23456789well then he would have to wait for everyone else to finish while being "last" (because he died first). Also being kingmaker is not so nice
Topdecks like that are one of the reasons I love this game so much. About a week ago, in a high power game, my buddy chaos wanded me and hit rise of the Eldrazi. I wasn't even mad. I just laughed. Or in the final moments of another game where a friend chaos warped into a meteor when his only remaining oppone t was at 2 life. Oh man. Good times !
Honestly, Ob is my favorite new commander for CEDH. I LOVE how it plays. Unfortunately, I also like Cormela too much to switch,.but I support all Ob decks
Honestly renaming all legendary creatures to their autocorrect is funny and good and will make your day better. Watch out for Nick Mizzenmast, Prawn Morris, Weather-light Delis Rakes, Lord of Riots Multiplayer, the Graveside Gymnast, the Weaver Kodak of the West Tree Shared, the Hegemony Variant, Lichen Queen
Nope, since when you cast deflecting swat you declare the new target, so you have the counterspell target deflecting swat, when things resolve the counterspell loses its target and fizzles
@@kingofrunescapepking Shouldn't you be able to target force of will, since its a spell on the stack? you can't target it while you cast it, but by changing the target isn't it possible?
i'm not an expert about the stack, but since ob nixilis trigger happens while he is paying for force of will, wouldn't it go on stack before force of will? Please tell me if and why i'm wrong
When you cast a spell, you are putting it on the stack. It goes on the stack, then you pay any costs, if the costs to play the spell can not happen, then you effectively roll back the stack. So effectively the spell is already on the stack as you pay costs.
@Zaalbarjedi it may not be but you forget in the context of the video it's cedh emphasis on c meaning both "casual" and "competitive". In the instance that it's not during a mox masters or anything official, why not? There's nothing at stake and you lose anyways. Might as well see what happens and if a Ob player is going for the infinite at that moment, then he has protection or contingencies which we see he had ways of digging further with what he had in hand. Sometimes it's not always about winning but seeing the whatif
@TunedToDoom how is that spite? It's barely even king kingmaking? Could be my casual mind coming through but you take risks for a reason! If it's spite and written in a set of cEDH competition rules then I'll eat my shoe but with friends, 1000000% I am pact-ing there to see what would happen after.
@@funnyapples2717 "c" in "cEDH" means "competitive", there is no emphasis on casual there at all. Also, "Sometimes it's not always about winning but seeing the whatif" is complete opposite of the philosophy of cEDH. Making spite play that makes you lose just for the lulz is an extremely fast way to not be invited to the cEDH table anymore.
