Established in 1972, the next chapture in the history of the Oban Lifeboat happened with the arrival of the stations new RNLI Shannon class lifeboat. Named "The Campbell Watson". Video and pictures of the Lifeboat naming event at Oban on 29th June 2024.

Great to hear that Oban has a new Lifeboat - may it save many lives at sea, also good to see a good turnout in Oban for this effort.
