This video is Sooooperb, always enjoy watching these ferries coming in & going out, also the videoer has captured the sounds of the birds chirping, so that is excellent - a very big thank you to the person who made this trimendous video - keep safe.
As the commentary in the video says due to the issue at a time of war , warships can not travel through the shipping strait between Turkey and the Black Sea. That being the problem.
Darn, missed seeing them. Hopefully it will not be long before they can do their jobs in the Black Sea. Better RN's old ships go there rather than be scrapped.
This video I did in July 2022 , I will have to look it up. I know the music I paid for is royalty and copyright free . As I am earning revenue from the video . I use a uk music company AKM music . The music track is on my computer somewhere, will get back to you.
Thanks a million for this great video of the Life boats, l love every thing about the sea and boats, now sometimes there's a program on the TV about Saving Lives at Sea, and if there is a program that I love it's got to be that one, so I want to thank those who air that program, some times it's only half an hour, but mostly an hour, but what ever it is, l will watch it, so thanks again and keep safe.
My word. her bow is ugly. The ugliest I have seen. Does anybody know if that is how she was originally designed, of if that aberration was added afterward? I presume to allow docking at different port configurations? I can imagine they got away with it as it went cross channel short hops, generally broadside to the prevailing swells .... But if is the first time she is moving closer to the Atlantic ... what is that monstrous bow going to be like when she is pushing from Pembroke to Rosslare in a meaningful Atlantic swell running up the Irish sea?
Yes a very short frontage to this ship, the vessel was built like it. Built by Belgium ferry operator many years ago . Original route Oostende to Dover before that route closed. Yes a bit ugly that front bit of the ship as you say , I agree.
@@standrewpicsthanks Andrew! Very informative. Fascinating that any naval architect would design anything so monstrous! Thanks again for the posts! At least know it won’t be a shock with I sail on her next month. 🙏🙏
Scot Govt simply cannot provide high funding like the German Government managed within 18 Months for the Werften shipyard which will now build Submarines and received an Injection of $261m & $85m as well as Guaranteed military orders, it can only support various projects within the terms of its annual budget and now we hear the news that the Scot Govt Funding will be cut again.
Yes I wonder , they have a need to replace the aging smaller ferries as well . They are holding off announcing the ship yard for building the replacement ferries. Due to budget restraints I believe . But they will have to invest in small vessel replacements very soon . Scotland also used to have funding from the EU not so many years ago .
I visited Minehead for the second time and the weather was just like this and I caught the view from the village street towards the castle and was captured should have stayed another day to investigate. It’s on my list. The very best of England 🏴! A castle, sea front, fields and forest, hills and rivers. A warm welcome.
I have not yet visited the Castle even through I am a National Trust member and can get in for free. I am now living in Scotland. Minehead was once a four hour drive for me. A nice area . The castle grounds are quite extensive and the town or village of Dunster is nice too. Could almost spend a day looking around I think .
Good video pal in old misco building I done security in there and full brand new bed brand new couches 175000 brand new pips put into skips over 6 months roll copper wire put into skips seams to me Cal Mac are jumping on anything thay can get there's hands on paid by Scottish government that's fact
Well I know that they do not need both Spirit class ferries at the moment , one of them is ether at anchor in the Dunkirk anchorage or laid up in Calais . I am not certain that any investment will happen with the two older ferries .
What a trimendous video of the Calmac ferry Lord of the lsles on lslay route, & what a great lot of ferries Calmac has , l hope they all keep going good during the course of there life .
Trimendous video of lsle of Lewis departing the Clyde following repairs, and what a trimendous ferry she is, may she keep doing what she was built for, - thanks for posting this great video.
Someone has commented that when this ferry is no longer required by the ferry company it should be preserved and used as an excursion vessel in the summer months, l think that is a trimendous idea, also l can say here here to that.
Not the worker's fault, SMP are the embarrassing problem, port glasgow people are proud off there yard and it's workforce, well done 👏 lads and Lassies 🏴
