The feud between the Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, and his Deputy, Philip Shuaibu, took a new twist, when the Department of State Services, DSS, denied Shuaibu access to the Governor. At a church service to mark the 32nd anniversary of the creation of the State in Benin, the Deputy Governor stood up to greet Obaseki, but a DSS operative blocked him just a few meters away.

Governor Godwin Obaseki is the only Nigeria governor will left Edo State for almost 3months and left Edo State for shaibu to run. He gave total freedom for shaibu to run Edo State when he was not around. No governor has done that in Nigeria

After Shaibu took Governor Obaseki to court on a baseless claim, we don’t want a repeat of that, soo I think it’s besT if Governor Obaseki maintains his distance from Philip Shaibu, who should know that he’s jusT the DG and he needs to stay in his Lane.
