Obberalp Pass - Andermatt MTB Tour w Hans Rey Part 7

This MTB/EMTB Tour starts at Oberalp Pass and goes to Andermatt along the Oberalp Lake. There is an option to hit the main road near Nätschen, or one can stay left and continue towards Unteralp, as we did in this video.
I rode this tour a little early in the season, with Fanie Kok, when there were still a few snowfields. From Andermatt there are trains every 30 minutes that can take you back to the start or all the way to Disentis / Sedrun.

I remember that red building from when I photographed a road sportif up there. Maybe the Alpine Brevet? Much rather be riding those dirt trails!

I met you in the 90s when i was about 15, you signed a copy of mtber uk for me at the malverns classic bike race, so cool to see you still riding, i really need to get my bike back out and serviced!

I had a chat with Hans the other year when Martyn Ashton did his show at Buxton. Really nice guy and down to earth, not like some of the celebrity types of there. He is well deserved of any and all respect he gets, awesome bloke

@@gerthinatorgaming5952 yep totally mr hans was doing trials demos on a course and spent a lot of time talking to and meeting fans ... i really miss the malverns classic though it was such a cool event, it was run by a guy from wolverhampton who owned a shop called mclanes cycout but sadly closed many years ago ... i also got to meet steve peat there too he was competing in the down hill competition

@@jskok3280 don't get me wrong, as far as I am aware I have watched everything that Hans has been in from the start of his career and I thoroughly enjoy watching and getting motivated to get out on my bike. Sadly this one totally annoyed me due to the whistling, and I didn't even make it halfway. Maybe I should try it on mute.
